New York Post Sets the Stage for Another Flight 93 Election by Declaring President Trump ‘Unworthy’ to Be President – Opinion

It seems more likely that President Donald Trump will run for another term in 2024. Multiple legacy media outlets report that he will declare his candidacy for the White House within the next 45-days.| here | here), he will announce his bid for the White House in the next 45 days.

This creates a situation that is not favorable to Liz Cheney’s aberrant fantasies about roosting in the White House (The Delusional Cope Behind Liz Cheney’s Coming Humiliation) and has set the bowels of the establishment and Vichy Republicans a-bubbling.

The New York Post, reportedly President Trump’s favorite newspaper, has come out swinging against the idea of President Trump running again. Using the clownish “January 6 committee” proceedings as a starting point, the New York Post goes on to declare:

As a matter principle, however. Character, Trump has proven himself unworthy to be this country’s chief executive again.

It looks like the battle lines of 2024 will be very different from those in 2016. Many of the NeverTrump people from 2016 have never been able to reconcile with President Trump at the White House. Based on Trump’s 2024 election plans (Trump Team Plans Post Election Purge of FBI, Department of Justice and Intelligence Community), more will come out of the swamp in opposition to his run.

Even though Mitch McConnell promises us it will be a “crowded field” in 2024, I think that’s bunk.

Trump and Ron DeSantis, the Florida Governor, are leading polls in double figures. This is unlikely to change unless something happens, such as President Trump being indicted and convicted for a federal offense. It is best to say that this race is two-man. It could be one man race if President Trump declares his candidacy within the next few months. (And no, I can’t imagine a set of facts that would persuade DeSantis to run second banana on a Trump-DeSantis ticket. Vice president isn’t a springboard to the presidency; it is the waiting room for political obscurity. George Bush, the first elected vice president since Martin Van Buren (if you exclude the resignation or death of the president) was also the first to become a president.

Let’s just say that I believe logic will dictate that Donald Trump wins the 2024 presidential nomination. Given the damage the Democrats have inflicted upon the nation, there isn’t a Democrat with national stature who beats President Trump.

I am now back in 2016. This brings me back to 2016. New York PostThe people who have locked themselves in opposition to Trump 2024 are consigned themselves to living with Lincoln Project staffers in Monkeypox Ward. I’m not sure what purpose it serves to assume that you have sufficient power to determine which candidate a party will select–no media outlet in New York City has that power–and to place yourself in the position of having found one candidate so deficient that you will be forced to support the other.

For the rest of us, I’m afraid we are returning to the economy seats on Flight 93 (read Michael Anton’s 2016 essay, The Flight 93 Election, for the reference). The nation will be in the same state as it was in 2016: in crisis. In truth, today’s situation is far worse than 2016. Literally millions of illegal aliens are expected to be in the United States when November 2024 arrives. It will be a crisis economy. The prices of food and energy will remain high. Hyperinflation is likely to be a factor. The housing market may collapse. Our military will be a bunch of woke transgendered types with magenta hair mewling about “white rage” and other bullsh**. Every school will teach racial hatred. As in 2016, the pilot will be charged with saving the nation from both the political establishments of the two parties as well as the media. They would prefer to see it burn to the ground than save the country by the right man backing the wrong people. This time, though, we know the guy we’re putting in the pilot’s seat is someone we know can land the plane, and he’s being opposed by people because they don’t like his style.
