News junkies can see that many TV analysts and anchors are very supportive of Judge Jackson’s candidacy. They argued that Republicans shouldn’t ask tough questions and make “personal attacks,” which could be considered racist.
Geoff Bennett, a PBS journalist was so excited that he shared the opinions of Jackson’s close friends. A tweet equating KBJ and CRT (critical Race Theory) was considered “racist” by him.
Joy Reid of MSNBC dismissed Senator Tom Cotton as “thuggish”, and bizarrely claimed anyone who associates IbramX. Kendi to CRT is “an idiot, or a lie.”
CNN was astonished by Ted Cruz’s presentation of the book Antiracist BabyGeorgetown Day School where Judge Jackson is a board member. Jeffrey Toobin thought it irrelevant. Abby Phillip described it as “below what is important.”
Then there was the pretense that somehow radical Judge Jackson “almost sounded like a conservative,” according to Jan Crawford on CBS. The media have used this disingenuous view often. Reporters presented Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor as conservatives at the confirmation hearings. However, their tenure on the Court actually was quite the opposite.
