Univision Pushes Title 42 Repeal Despite Increase In Border Drownings

A Univision report on the arrest of migrants and coyotes on both sides of the Rio Grande by U.S. and Mexico authorities morphed into a pitch for the removal of Title 42 but backfired when it only confirmed the migrant avalanche – and further deaths – waiting to happen once the government puts an “Stop -once for all – any rule that they consider racist and illegal”.

You can see this pro-open borders activist disguised in news reporting. It is completely missing the mark.

PATRICIA JANIOT – We are now going to detain coyotes as well as immigrants from both sides of Rio Grande, Piedras Negras (Coahuila) and Eagle Pass (Texas). To stop the recent surge in migrants drowning during crossings, U.S. and Mexican agents jointly executed this operation.

MARLENE GUZMAN : As part of Operation Mirror (a collaboration between Mexican authorities and U.S. officials), raids are being intensified against human traffickers. They were crossing 18 migrants in Piedras Negras when they approached three coyotes.

This is a clear sign of the danger that migrants face crossing the border from Mexico to America. However, These numbers continue to rise.

Many migrants don’t realize that they might be subject to immediate expulsion, which could result in them losing their right to apply for asylum in (the United States). Today, pro-immigrant groups demanded that a racist and illegal rule be repealed.

While anchor Patricia Janiot opened with the news of the arrests made during “a joint operation between Mexican and U.S. agents in order to curb the recent wave of migrant drownings during border crossings”, reporter Marlene Guzmán pointed out the futility of such an operation, since “…more and more immigrant groups are risking their lives for a better future”. In February alone, 47,007 individuals were apprehended at the southern border and deported under Title 42, more than in January.

If, as she said, the crossings continue to grow while “Many migrants do not know that they might be immediately expelled, rendering them unable to request asylum in (United States). How will coyotes react to the new news that Title 42 has been abolished?

To give you an idea not only of the massive numbers of people illegally crossing into the U.S., but also of the lawlessness going on at the southern border, all you have to do is visit the web page of the U.S. Border Patrol; for a sampling, the interception of massive amounts of drugs, arms, arrests of vicious criminals, human smuggling, the list is endless and worse, frightening.
