The Washington Examiner reports that Hunter, a close friend of President Joe Biden, was indicted for treason against Kazakhstan. The report was not reported by all the evening news networks, but One America News, the cable TV network, did report the story at publication.
Hunter Biden used to refer to Karim Massimov as his “close friend” during a 2016 email. He is an ex-chief of Kazakhstan’s intelligence and was also the chairman of Kazakhstan National Security Committee. After being fired, Massimov was tried and convicted for treason in violent protests following a rise in regional gas prices. While serving as the chairman of Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company Burisma’s board member Massimov was in close business relations with Biden. Massimov also served as Prime Minister for Kazakhstan at that time.
Massimov, who was Prime Minister at the time, met Biden during their meeting to talk about a Burisma-energy deal. This story is made even more interesting by the fact Joe Biden was photographed with Massimov, his son Hunter, and while he was sitting as Vice President.
The Washington Examiner says it’s even worse “Emails between Hunter Biden and Devon Archer (his Rosemont Seneca business associate and Burisma board member) and Vadim Pozharskyi, a Ukrainian Burisma official, show that they are eager to make a deal for Massimov.”
As a consequence, “Republican Senate report on Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings highlighted that Rakishev wired $142,300 to a company owned by Archer in 2014, the same day Joe Biden met with the Ukrainian prime minister and Ukrainian lawmakers to discuss Russia’s actions in the Crimean Peninsula.” According to the Examiner, The funds were purportedly wired by Rakishev to a vehicle. However, Senate Report said that the timing and purpose of the transfer raised serious questions.
If Donald Trump Jr. were to be charged with treason abroad, you can bet the networks would not be surprised.
