Biden, in a shocking reversal of his policy on immigration to bring things back to Trump’s original approach to them, ordered the building of the border wall resumed or at the very least filled in any gaps that had been left in Arizona by Trump’s order to halt. Despite the fact that the order was canceled on Thursday morning, CBS and NBC’s flagship newscasts blacked out any news about the border wall.
Instead of reporting on Biden building back border wall, ABC’s World News Tonight47 seconds spent blaming Justice Samuel Alito’s mocking of foreign critics for his ruling overturning Roe V. Wade. On CBS Evening NewsYou spent 19 seconds worrying about Halloween candy shortages at Hersey. Meanwhile, NBC Nightly NewsTwo minutes and 18 seconds spent inciting fear of sharks under the water.
In stark contrast, Fox News Channel’s Special ReportTwo and a half minutes were spent (2:34) on sections of border wall that will be completed in the near future.
“President Biden has authorized the completion of the border wall in an open area near Yuma, Arizona,” announced anchor Bret Baier as he led into the segment. “It’s another reversal of policy for the President who vowed not to add to his predecessor’s efforts in any way on that project.”
Correspondent Steve Harrigan noted in his report that “despite campaign pledges to build no more border walls, the Biden administration agreed to do just that Thursday promising to fill in four gaps in Trump-built border walls near Yuma, Arizona.”
“The absurd gaps became both a symbol of failed border policy and one of the busiest illegal crossings in the country,” he added. “The reason cited for building the wall, safety concerns for Border Patrol and for the migrants who sometimes slipped or drowned while crossing.”
Harrigan pointed out that there have been a lot of illegal immigrants at the local hospital.
HARRIGAN – Eagle Pass: If you have COVID symptoms and fear that you might die, call an ambulance. The ambulance will not be able to take you to the hospital. The hospital is currently full.

In a soundbite of White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, she claimed “We are not finishing a wall. We are cleaning up the mess that the last administration made.”
And with a final note on the construction, Harrigan reported “No date set yet for construction to start.”
First, the Biden administration stuck with the remain in Mexico policy, then kept the COVID Title 42 protocols in place, and now they’re constructing parts of the border wall. Oof, no wonder the liberal broadcast networks don’t want to cover it.

Water flows to the south. People move north. Single families, by the dozen or the hundreds. Infants and plastic bags kept above the current. They may panic and call for help halfway through. They may fall, but get up again. Sometimes, they fall and don’t get up.
Their struggles do not end when the illegal migrants arrive on American shores. A host of new opportunities are available for border towns that have been overwhelmed by the migrants’ numbers.
