On Tuesday afternoon’s Hallie Jackson Reports on MSNBC, Chris Jansing moderated a panel segment discussing the latest developments in the confirmation hearings of Biden Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson. Jansing was clearly angered when Senator Ted Cruz (R.TX) asked Jackson about her previous support for Critical Race Theory.
Joyce Vance (MSNBC contributor) attempted to make the segment more disturbing by defending the way in which prosecutors are currently going after child pornographers. The argument that child porn-pedophiles were prosecuted is disturbing “is a problem that’s been brewing in the federal judiciary for at least ten or fifteen years.”
Vance said that Vance believed the “laws that were written at a point in time where child pornography was proliferated and trafficked through the mails or in print media like magazines”Which is the best place to be right now “anybody who can download something is then in possession of child pornography.” I don’t know what websites Vance goes on but I have never had that problem, and I bet none of our NewsBusters readers have either.
At the end of the commentary, she stated that her personal disagreements were with judges and prosecutors from the legal community. They argue that child porn is easy to download. “the sentencing is too strong for people”Whoever downloads it “without trafficking it.”
Later on in the segment, Jansing after referencing Hawley and Cruz’s tough questioning of Jackson claimed that “studies do show that women face a higher bar in confirmation hearings” and that the studies don’t “take into consideration women of color”Because there have never been any women of color appointed to the Supreme Court.
Noting that various black women’s advocacy groups are holding watch parties for Jackson’s confirmation hearings because her nomination is a “historic moment”, Jackson is facing a “time that is at the intersection of racism and sexism and intense political divisions.”
According to the leftist media, you can never question a black woman’s record and past views without it being considered racist or sexist.

Eastern Time: 3:55 p.m.JOHN VANCE: This has been an issue in federal courts for at least 10 or 15 years. The problem is this, laws that were written when child pornography had already proliferated, was trafficked via the mails, or magazines and is now being applied to the internet. Anybody who is able to download it is in possession child pornography. I don’t agree with these views, but many judges feel that sentencing for child pornography owners who have not trafficked it is harsh.

CHRIS JANSING Because there are so few studies, these don’t take in women of color. None at this level. Black women leaders from groups such as Black Women’s Roundtable or She Will Rise are holding virtual watch parties today because this historic moment is important, but Judge Jackson faces an extremely difficult time. Judge Jackson’s situation is marked by sexism, racism, and deep political divisions. You can talk about it in context of today’s questions.
