This is flip-flopping Morning Joe The constant news about Ukraine makes it difficult to keep up. In mid-February, co-host Mika Brzezinski it was Mika found Biden’s reaction “isn’t strong enough.” Joe Scarborough then insisted that nobody attack Biden on Ukraine as weak:It is historic what has been accomplished so far.
Last week we noticed Scarborough said that Republican senators pushing Biden, by advocating no-fly zones, are pushing Biden to “do things that would trigger World War III.” He called them Republican senators “jackasses.”
Brzezinski then suggested today that NATO and the US should intervene in Ukraine’s war without waiting for Russia use chemical or nuclear weapons. It’s easy to get dizzy just watching this!
Jonathan Swan Axios I had raised the question: What would the “atrocity threshold”, which would cause the US or NATO to abandon their existing policy? The possibility of providing arms to Ukraine while not being directly involved. He asked if Russian tactical nuclear weapons, or chemical weapons, would make it difficult for NATO and the US not to invade Ukraine.
This is when Mika, obviously upset, interrupted Swan. With emotion, her voice trembled. She said that:
When you ask that question,Aren’t there already? If you ask, “What’s the Atrocity Level?”
Translation: Mika thinks Russia is doing something atrocious and therefore demands that the west intervene in this war. As the screencap shows, Mika with her arms crossed and a disgruntled look on her face would not accept any western intervention.
Joe Scarborough assumed Mika’s post with Admiral James Stavridis who was a retired MSNBC analyst, and is the former Supreme Commander of NATO. Stavridis said that Russia’s use nuclear and chemical weapons was “beginning that conversation.” [about direct western involvement]In a serious manner.” Stavridis pointed out a third possibility for triggering an event: Russian soldiers starting to kill protestors in Ukraine. But Stavridis also hedged his bets, adding, “we need to continue to be concerned about escalation toward . . . It is a high-end clash between nuclear power. It is a delicate balance.
Mika closed the segment suggesting that NATO and the US look “weak”.They stand still while women and babies are being torn apart and cities get decimated. It’s A “bad look for the West”Mika concluded.
Joe’s obvious question is: Is your wife also pushing Biden “to do things that would trigger WWIII?” Are you also calling Mika “jackass”?
Mika Brzezinski, a Morning Joe contributor, stated that Russia had already passed the “atrocity threshold”, which warrants direct participation of NATO and the US in the Ukraine conflict. This was in response to Dove’s sponsorship, Celebrity Cruises and DirecTV.

6:16 am ETMIKA BRZEZINSKI In these conditions, he will travel to Poland and the next step is to meet with NATO. Which options is the administration considering?
JONATHAN SWAN: As I understand it, there are two main questions that I ask when speaking to Biden officials. First, Is there a threshold at which Ukraine would commit atrocities that could trigger NATO to take a more aggressive stance? The moral pressure needed to make the United States and NATO allies go above what they have already said is not there. We’re not getting involved. We don’t have a No-Fly Zone, and we aren’t doing any other version.
MIKA:Do you mind if I interrupt? Because when you’re asking that question, aren’t you already there? Asking questions is a good idea. [voice quivers with emotion]Which is the worst atrocity level?
SWAN: Some people have told me it’s not possible. This is the red line. We are not involved. It becomes a hypothetical conversation. You will actually witness this occur. You don’t even know how that conversation will take place if these small, tactical nukes or chemical weapons are used on the ground. All of us are having this wonderful theoretical conversation. We don’t have the ability to see the atrocities in action.
. . .
JOE SCARBOROUGH : andAdmiral, we’ll talk about Mika’s question. Aren’t the horrors already evident? Haven’t we seen the horrors? . . . Nuclear weapons have never been used in Europe. There have not been any chemical weapons used in Europe in large quantities. Are you sure that this would be the limit? This would result in the United States and NATO declaring, “We’re certainly not going into Moscow. We’re not going into Russia. But we’re going into Ukraine and will start protecting these people.”
JAMES STAVRDIDIS Yes, I believe that that starts that serious conversation. Those two instances. Joe, I will give you a third. You can go back to that earlier video showing the Russians shooting at the protesters. When those guns are brought down and the police start to mowing down civilians in lines, then I believe that this is when pressure almost becomes irresistible
. . .
The bottom line however is We need to remain concerned about the escalation towards us. There is a very serious conflict between the nuclear powers. It is a delicate balance. It seems that the administration is on the right track.
. . .
MIKA: This dynamic does not favor the average person., though. Because As we watch mothers and their babies get torn apart, we stand still.Every day is a new day and more cities are being destroyed. It’s hard to know. I feel like America and Europe look at the impact. [sic, look] weak. It could be, though. It’s not a good look.
