Media Buries the Lede About the Big News Concerning LeBron James – Opinion

We’ve covered a few stories about LeBron James lately and it probably isn’t much of a secret that James is very liberal. We also wrote about how he attacked Kyle Rittenhouse. Eneskanter Freedom, the Boston Celtics center, was also featured in our article. We criticized James for his defense of China and disregarding their oppression, even though James claimed that he values human rights.

Usually, the media – in covering a James story – is all in on positively covering him.

The media was reluctant to report the full story about James that aired today.

An ESPN report about James was sent to me.

If you look at the headline, and then the first few paragraphs of the article, it is possible to have no clue what the story’s about.

They talk about James going into “health and safety protocols.” If you’re not familiar with the term and many likely are not, you might think he injured himself. It’s like burying the leade. But many other media outlets followed ESPN’s lead, just saying that he’d entered the “health and safety protocols,” not being explicit in their headlines.

This is an extremely reluctant way of saying he has COVID, but ESPN didn’t even mention COVID in the story until the 13th paragraph. Even in that paragraph, they don’t say he has it — they just talk generically about what a player must do according to league rules if one has it. They don’t say anywhere in the article that he has COVID; they are that hesitant to even do that.

So, why is the media trying so hard not to say he’s got it in those simple and clear terms? Is it possible to call this a pro James bias?

ESPN does say that he got the vaccine in September and that he is “asymptomatic” (although asymptomatic from what — who would know, since they don’t say?).

James announced on Lakers Media Day in September that he has received COVID-19.

“I know that I was very skeptical about it all,” he said. “But after doing my research and things of that nature, I felt like it was best suited, not only for me but for my family and my friends. And that’s why I decided to do it.”

The article does note that he didn’t play last night and will likely be out for several games.

James already has missed 12 of the Lakers’ 23 games because of injuries and a suspension. L.A. has a record of 7-4 without James and 5-7 with him this season. He is expected to be gone for at least 10 more days until he reports two adverse test results within 24hrs.

This is another “breakthrough” infection, if he is truly vaccinated. These are not breakthrough infections, but they do seem to be more common among the vaccinated. The evidence is clear that it’s possible for the vaccinated to get the disease, even if the media continues demonizing those who aren’t. They need stop demonizing the unvaccinated already — and recognize that anyone can get it, including the vaccinated.
