The Census Bureau’s 2020 post-enumeration survey, in which errors were found in the 2020 Census, has received almost no coverage from leftwing cable and broadcast networks (ABC and CBS, NBC, NBC, NBC, NBC, MSNBC). There was almost total silence on the issue. The report received only a brief mention by CBS at 4 AM on August 23.
Post-enumeration surveys on overcount and undercount rates that the Census Bureau uses to assess the accuracy of the initial count found errors in 2020 resulting in misallocations of six seats in Congress and billions in federal funding. This improper apportionment resulted in the benefit of Democrats.
A piece of The Washington Times, The Heritage Foundation’s Hans von Spakovsky wrote of the miscounting:
These costly mistakes will result in a distortion of congressional representation and the Electoral College. It means that when the Census Bureau reapportioned the House of Representatives, Florida was cheated out of two additional seats it should have gotten; Texas missed out on another seat; Minnesota and Rhode Island each kept a representative they shouldn’t have; and Colorado was awarded a new member of the House it didn’t deserve.
The Bureau’s initial report on over- and undercounting was released on May 19. CBS was the sole network that mentioned the findings in its initial report on over- and undercounting. CBS aired a brief news story of 24 seconds which ran at 4:15 EDT on the May 20, issue of CBS. CBS Morning News. On June 3, Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier: Special ReportThe story was told for 75 seconds. Tucker Carlson TonightAn additional 34 seconds were spent on the story June 8.
According to the survey, all except one state with overcounted populations were Democrat-run. However, the majority of undercounting was done in Republican-run States.
The 2020 survey showed that the bureau overcounted the population in Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Utah…
Arkansas, Florida and Texas were the states with undercounted populations.
One can only imagine the bloodcurdling shrieks we’d be hearing on CNN and MSNBC if census errors had set Democrats back by even a single congressional seat, let alone six. This disastrous error by the Census Bureau has not been covered on TV, and neither ABC nor CBS have aired it.
