Manchin Slams Biden Again – Is It Just the Tip of the Iceberg? – Opinion

When your own side is continually ripping you, you know you’re in trouble. West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchin is at it once again, this time slamming the Biden administration’s handling of surging inflation.

His statement was posted to Twitter on Tuesday.

This is the end of inflation. This is an insult to American citizens to pretend that inflation is not a recent phenomenon. The Federal Reserve and the administration failed to act fast enough, and today’s data is a snapshot in time of the consequences being felt across the country.

This is far from the first time Manchin has slammed his own party, as we’ve been reporting. The United States has seen the highest inflation rate in over 40 years.  As RedState’s Bonchie writes.

Seeing the latest inflation number clock in at 8.5 percent year-over-year overall (a number that is misleadingly low given what things are bought most often) is absolutely crushing, not just because of what it tells us about March of 2022, but because it shows the trend isn’t slowing down. You don’t have to be worried about things right now. Just wait for the summer months.

One wonders if there may be other dissatisfied Democrats like them who keep their mouth shut.  According to consulting firm Lee Resources, “for every customer complaint there are 26 other unhappy customers who have remained silent.”  That means there are probably a whole lot of freaked-out Dem congressmen and women out there who are terrified of losing their seats come November, and who may jump ship between now and then. Indeed, some Democrat politicians protest the May lift of Title 42. This decision is widely anticipated to lead to a fresh wave of immigration.  Vox reports it.

Democrats face a new split: Democrats have reacted to the Biden government’s end of pandemic-era borders restrictions, which allowed US to deport hundreds of thousands of Mexican migrants, by demanding that they be reinstated.

Media seem to also be panicking. MSNBC’s Stephie Ruhle, echoing other liberal outlets:

It ain’t good. If you compare these numbers over time, it becomes clear that this is the place we’ve been living in for more than 40 years. And the biggest increases, it’s gas, it’s rent, it’s food. You need all the items you buy each day. The most vulnerable people will suffer the most.

You better be nervous Uncle Joe, when Biden cheerleaders Vox or MSNBC are concerned.

The Biden presidency has wreaked havoc on this country for over a year now, and sometimes it’s easy to forget that it could be so much worse. If it weren’t for Manchin (and Arizona Democratic Senator Kyrsten Sinema) putting a stop to some of the more extreme proposals coming from the Biden Administration, we’d really be up the creek. I just wish they’d switch parties already. The good news is that those two are providing cover for other similarly inclined colleagues who don’t want America to get completely flushed down the toilet.

What is the best way to know this? Look at all the retirements of Democrat congressmen. You could even see it coming, Captain Titanic.
