It’s official. It’s official. Liz Cheney was defeated in Wyoming by Harriet Hageman, who was endorsed by Trump. The mainstream media are still pushing Cheney to run for president in 2024, however.
Michael Beschloss (MSNBC guest and presidential historian) suggested that Cheney should run for president in 2024. His Twitter followers even asked him whether Cheney should run for office in 2024, as either a Republican or third-party candidate.
Liz Cheney says that “no office in this country is more important than our principles to defend.” Noting that Lincoln lost for lower offices before he won the Presidency, which brought new freedom.
It sure sounds like someone who would be a good candidate for the 2024 Presidential election.— Michael Beschloss (@BeschlossDC) August 17, 2022
Anyone have an opinion — should Liz Cheney run in 2024 for President third-party, in Republican primaries or not at all?

Surprisingly Bschloss did not continue to ask whether Cheney should be running in the Democratic primaries. This could be their best opportunity at the moment. The obsession with Cheney 2024 didn’t end there. The Washington Post published an article with the headline, “Liz Cheney’s political life is likely ending — and just beginning.” The Post implied that Cheney has not ruled out a run, and if she runs, she could siphon votes from the middle-of-the-road Republicans.
Tom Friedman of the New York Times suggested in January that Liz Cheney and Joe Biden be voted on for 2024. Friedman stated:
“It’s the most diverse national unity government in Israel’s history, one that stretches from Jewish settlers on the right all the way to an Israeli-Arab Islamist party and super-liberals on the left … Most important, it’s holding together, getting stuff done and muting the hyperpolarization that was making Israel ungovernable.”
Friedman continued, stating he wanted a “unity ticket” in 2024:
“Is that what America needs in 2024 — a ticket of Joe Biden and Liz Cheney? Or Joe Biden. [Sen.] Lisa Murkowski [R-Alaska]Kamala Harris, or. [Sen.] Mitt Romney [R-Utah]Or [Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate]Stacey Abrams, Liz Cheney and or [Sen.]Amy Klobuchar [D-Minn.]Liz Cheney Or any other such combination.”
CNN asked her several times in different interviews whether or not she would run for president in 2024.
Fox News asked its viewers what they think of Cheney’s potential presidential run. One voter said: “I wouldn’t support her as a dog catcher.”
Another voter said: “I would vote for her. We need women, strong women with powerful decision-making and fair.”
One voter who supports Cheney said: “Even though I support her, and I think she is a better candidate, I still think that Trump did a lot for Wyoming and that we have actually been hurt by our new President.”
Cheney is likely to lose the Wyoming primary, if she decides to run for president in 2024. Cheney would run as a third party candidate and her sole objective is to steal votes from Trump. It will be fascinating to see what happens in the GOP Presidential field if Trump is elected.
