Liz Cheney Gives the Game Away When She Reveals What the ‘Single Most Important Thing’ Is – Opinion

Democrats and Never Trumpers just can’t let the Jan. 6 riot go, even though it only lasted a few hours. It’s their one and only weapon against politicians. However, no Republican has supported the riot. My colleague Mike Miller hit on this obsession in his stories about why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) can’t quit Jan. 6 , and how the New York Times is now saying that “Every Day is Jan. 6.”

This is all while they ignore the ongoing and organized antifa/BLM rioting which has lasted months and still continues. This rioting specifically targeted the federal government/law enforcement and attacked hundreds of federal buildings and officers, which resulted to millions in damage. The riots saw dozens of deaths. Democrats have supported and accepted the BLM while denying that Antifa exists. The media has downplayed the severity of the violence, calling it “mostly peaceful” protests.

This is partly to distract from Joe Biden’s horrible actions. All his terrible actions in Afghanistan and inflation have caused them to be in dire straits come the midterms. What they want with the Jan. 6 Committee is months of what they hope is damaging live testimony, attacking Republicans, because that’s the whole objective here — hurt Republicans.

But there’s also another specific purpose for all this spectacle they hope to gin up over the three-hour riot.

Rep. Liz Cheney (RINO-WY) did an interview on “Face the Nation” today and let it slip.

A transcript from the show shows that Cheney was asked by Margaret Brennan about her plans to run for president in Wyoming. Cheney, who is highly unpopular for joining the Democrats in this matter, is most likely to be toast in her election.

Brennan said,

The former president supported your main opponent. He’s promised to help campaign against you. Peter Thiel is one of his largest donors and he’s a billionaire who has money to support your main opponent. Here’s the challenge.

How do you think that your state will win the primary given its redness?

Cheney replied by shouting the silence out loud, saying that her goal was to stop President Donald Trump from being elected again. “This is a man who is simply too dangerous ever to play a role again in our democracy,” Cheney claimed. “I look forward to the opportunity to continue to help the American people see the facts about what happened and to continue to make the case at home about the kind of representation that we need in Washington for the people of Wyoming.”

Brennan also asked Cheney whether he planned to challenge Trump as president in 2024.

“I’m very focused right now on my re-election and on the work of the select committee,” Cheney responded. “I can tell you that that the single most important thing, though, is to ensure that Donald Trump is not the Republican nominee and that he certainly is not anywhere close to the Oval Office ever again.”

It doesn’t get much simpler than that! That’s what this is about. They are trying to tag him any way they can with this effort, except they’re not doing a very good job of it. The latest push of the “texts” with lawmakers was laughable because what it showed was no one knew what was going to happen, everyone was concerned and wanted it stopped. In fact, they exonerated rather than incriminating. To make them appear worse, the Committee doctored them.

You can’t get blood from a stone, and you can’t make up something that isn’t there. The Jan.6 Committee is sure to do so. But Americans have already shown they are hip to the deflection efforts going on here, and it isn’t going to save the Democrats or the Never Trumpers like Cheney from being defeated in 2022.
