Secret Omarosa Tapes Reveal Trump’s ‘Alarming’ Ignorance of What’s Happening in His Own WH

“God dammit! I don’t love you leaving at all.”

What: President Donald Trump acted surprised about the firing of of former White House aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman, according to a secret recording which she played on the TODAY Show Monday.

Omarosa said that the administrative disarray that Trump exhibited on the tape should be “alarming to every American.”

She claims the taped phone conversation with Trump happened the day after Chief of Staff John Kelly fired her in December, 2017.

In the tape, after Omarosa informs Trump that she had been dismissed, he appears surprised and claims he didn’t know about her removal.

“Nobody even told me about it. You know, they run a big operation but I didn’t know it. I didn’t know that,” Trump says on the tape. “God dammit! I don’t love you leaving at all.”

Why: Since leaving the administration, Omarosa, a former contestant on “The Apprentice,” claimed that Trump isn’t in control of his own White House.

The circumstances surrounding Omarosa’s firing remain fuzzy. During an interview on Meet the Press on Sunday, she claimed Trump was in the know.

“No, I know he knows,” she said. “Because I’ve talked to him subsequently, and he said he delegated. ‘I delegated.’ So, he knew. He knew that John Kelly was going to take me into the Situation Room, and lock me in there, threaten me, and say that things were going to get ugly for me, and there would be damage to my reputation.”

After airing the audio on TODAY, Manigault implied that it was Kelly who really made the call, after being given too much authority.

“He probably instructed General Kelly to do it so that he could keep his hands clean when he spoke to me,” she says. “I’m wondering, is he sincere? The other question is, is General Kelly running this country or is the President running this country?”

Trump responded in a series Tweets on Monday, saying that “Wacky Omarosa” was a “loser” who “only said great things about me.”

He also claimed that Kelly wanted Omarosa out from the moment he joined the team.

Omarosa released the audio before of the arrival of her new book “Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House,” which makes several claims about the president, including that he used the N-word in the West Wing.

The audio clip began with Trump wondering if Manigault was thinking about leaving the White House: “Omarosa, what’s going on? I just saw in the news you’re thinking about leaving. What happened?”

Manigault responded that Trump and Kelly were the ones that wanted her gone: “General Kelly — General Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave.”

Trump appeared unaware: “Nobody even told me about it.”

Manigault quickly responded: “Wow.”

A shocked Trump then told Manigault that he didn’t like her dismissal: “You know they run a big operation, but I didn’t know it,” Trump is heard saying on the tape. “I didn’t know that. Goddamn it. I don’t love you leaving at all.
