LIFE WINS! Soros-Funded Groups Lose Their Minds Over Abortion Defeat

This was the 49 year reign of Roe v. WadeThis is the end of it all. The U.S. Supreme Court’s announcement that all federally-approved abortions would be ended caused a rift among far-left organizations funded by George Soros (liberal billionaire).

Soros-funded groups did not hold back their disappointment with the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Planned Parenthood President Alexis McGill Johnson launched into a verbal tirade against the Court’s decision on MSNBC, calling it “absolutely devastating.” Planned Parenthood shared a link to AbortionFinder.org and renewed its pledge to fight for increased abortionsto over 331,000 of its Twitter followers. American Civil Liberties Union tweeted: “This is a terrible moment, we won’t dispute it.” And MoveOn.org put pressure on Congress and states to protect what the left calls a “right” to an abortion on Twitter. [Emphasis added].

All of these groups have either been funded using Soros money, or are closely connected to the political action committees.

Johnson attacked the Supreme Court for placing an “extra burden” on women seeking abortions. “The Court just told us that we are not equal. The Court just told us that we don’t have a right in the Constitution to control our own bodies, and I can’t think of anything more enraging, more absurd, more insane than overturning nearly 50 years of precedent of our ability to control our own bodies.” Soros’s Open Society Institute gave at least $19,347,418 to Planned Parenthood Federation of America between 2004 and 2019, according to Foundation Directory records.

And Johnson didn’t stop there: “It is absolutely, uh, horrifying, and all I can think about is the millions of the people that are going to be affected, millions of people that, you know, we’ve seen as patients at Planned Parenthood. Many other independent providers out there who are catching tears right now from their patients, knowing that they won’t be able to provide the care that they need. It is absolutely devastating.”

Planned Parenthood is also available claimed in a tweet: “We know you may be feeling a lot of things right now — hurt, anger, confusion. Whatever you feel is OK. We’re here with you — and we’ll never stop fighting for you.” It further encouraged in a subsequent tweet: “If you need an abortion, help is available to make sure you get the care you need. Call 1-800-230-PLAN or visit http://AbortionFinder.org.”

Soros also funded the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) with a staggering $37,359,845 between 2000 and 2014. tweeted its own screed: “BREAKING: The Supreme Court just reversed nearly 50 years of precedent and overturned Roe v. Wade, ending the federal constitutional right to abortion. This is a terrible moment, we won’t dispute it. Half of the states are expected to ban abortion.” [Emphasis added]. The group has fought for increased access to abortion and “unfettered illegal immigration,” according to Influence Watch.

MoveOn.org is another leftist organization that has been associated with Soros. complained about the decision on Twitter: “We’re devastated. The Supreme Court’s conservative justices’ awful decision to overturn Roe now means millions of people are at risk of losing abortion access in their states. It’s now on Congress & governors to protect abortion access. We will continue to fight.”

Open Society Foundations Records show that Soros donated $724,995 to MoveOn.org Civic Action in 2016 and 2020.

For years, Soros supported Planned Parenthood groups. According to Open Society Foundations records, the leftist billionaire donated a staggering $14,150,000 from 2017 to 2020 to Planned Parenthood Action Fund. And Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show that the Soros super PAC — Democracy PAC — gave at least $2,545,454.55 to Planned Parenthood Votes.
