Kobe Bryant died on Sunday in a helicopter crash in California, according to multiple news outlets.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff said on Twitter that five people died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas and that there were no survivors, Reuters reported.
The NBA legend and former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard was 41 years old.
Bryant was among the people killed in the crash while flying in his private helicopter over Calabasas, The New York Post reported.
The two-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award recipient is universally regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
He is survived by his wife Vanessa and his four children.
