Low in the polls and failing on every front, President Joe Biden decided to sit down for a softball interview with leftist late-night “comedian” Jimmy Kimmel late Wednesday night to try to rehabilitate his floundering presidency and lucky for Biden, Kimmel was happy to oblige.
After exchanging pleasantries, Kimmel cut to the chase to lobby Biden on gun control in light of the string of mass shootings in recent weeks: “There’ve been, what, 27 shootings at schools? I guess — I mean, just to get into it, why haven’t we done anything about this?”
Kimmel: Kimmel says, “Why haven’t we done any about this?” [school shootings]?”
Biden: “Well, it’s intimidation from the NRA. And — Look, this party is not your father’s Republican Party. This is a MAGA Party. It is very different, a very distinct Republican Party. pic.twitter.com/J7c9xAvead

Biden answered by scapegoating the National Rifle Association and calling the Republican Party the “MAGA Party. “I think a lot of its intimidation by the NRA and — look, this is not your father’s Republican Party, this is a MAGA party. It’s a very different” Biden whined.
The President speculated that “if they vote for rational gun policy, they’re going to be primaried. And they’re going to lose in a hard-right Republican primary.”
Kimmel sympathetically asked in an emotional tone “shouldn’t we demand that every Senator in the United States sit with those families?”
Biden agreed and sought to make future elections a referendum on gun control: “you’ve got to make sure that this becomes a voting issue. It’s got to be one of those issues where you decide your position on the issue, Senator, or candidate for House or Senate, on what we’re going to do with assault weapons.”
Kimmel agreed and preached that “it is our fault that the people in the House and Congress can take responsibility for it, but it is our fault because we need to stop this” adding “we need to do it.” Biden reminded Kimmel that the last time the United States had an assault weapon ban, it expired in 2004.
In response to that, Kimmel asked “can’t you issue an executive order? Trump passed those out like Halloween candy.”
The President doubled down on the Trump hatred by invoking the former Presiden’s alleged abuse of power: “I don’t want to emulate Trump’s abuse of the constitution and the constitutional authority.”
He added, “I often get asked — look, the Republicans don’t play it square, why do you play it square?” Biden continued his explanation: “well, guess what, if we do the same thing they do, our democracy will literally be in jeopardy.”
Kimmel partially agreed and said “it’s like you’re playing monopoly with somebody who won’t pass “Go,” won’t follow any of the rules, and how do you ever make any progress if they’re not following the rules?”
Biden jumped in and used another Monopoly metaphor: “you’ve got to send them to jail.”
Kimmel: Roe vs Wade. You just have to keep getting hit with these kinds of things, don’t you think? It’s not easy to do this job. It’s a great job, and I am glad that you are doing it. But this seems like an awful gig. pic.twitter.com/MzPYVxr5cP

After the two went to commercial break, Kimmel played the “poor Joe” card by sympathizing with Biden’s troubled presidency: “Roe vs Wade. These things keep on coming at you, aren’t they, boy? It’s not easy to do this job. It’s a great job, and I am glad that you are doing it. But this seems like an awful gig.
Again, the media portrays all of these horrible things as happening just to Biden, acting like he is not responsible for the record-breaking inflation and high gas prices and other disasters that have struck the nation.
Liberty Mutual made this wacky interview with Jimmy Kimmel possible. Their information is linked so you can let them know about the leftist “comedy show” they fund.

Eastern 12:35.41JIMMY KIMMEL – You were there in September 2019. Gun violence was one of many topics we discussed. You said we must do more to combat gun violence in schools. Here we are, a few more years later. This year is already half-way through. It’s been 27 schools shot? You know what I’m referring to — why aren’t there any actions taken about it?
JOE BIDDEN: I believe a lot of it intimidation by NRA. And, look, this party isn’t your father’s Republican Party. This is a MAGA Party. This is a completely different Republican Party. So you will find many people worried that voting for rational gun policies means they won’t be the primary candidate. They’ll lose in the Republican hard-right primary.

KIMMEL : Why don’t we insist that all Senators in the United States be there for these families?
BIDEN : I believe we need to make the demand. This is what needs to be done. This is what you all need to do. I am not making a joke of it. You have to decide what your position is on this issue. Senators, candidates for House and Senate must make a decision on it. It could be 300 rounds per magazine. I don’t know, but what I say about those matters will determine my vote. You should make it a priority.
KIMMEL : It is your fault, the House and Congress cannot take the responsibility, but that is not our fault, because it must stop. This must be done.
BIDEN: We did it last time as I have said. It expired in 2004.
KIMMEL: Can’t you issue an executive order? Trump handed them out like Halloween candy.
BIDEN: The answer—well I did.
KIMMEL – Isn’t that what should happen?
BIDEN: I issued executive orders within the presidential power to address these issues — anything to do with guns and gun ownership. Also, the question of waiting. All the things within my authority. While I am not mocking Trump, what I do not want is to replicate his abuse of the Constitution and constitutional authority.
That’s what I meant. I get often asked, “Look, Republicans don’t play the squares, so why would you?”
KIMMEL: Yeah.
BIDEN
KIMMEL: Well, yeah.
BIDEN: This is not a joke.
KIMMEL – I get their point. However, you are playing monopoly when you have someone who doesn’t pass the “Go” exam and won’t comply with any of the rules. And how can they ever progress, if they don’t?
BIDEN – You have to put them in jail. That’s what you know. It’s there.
KIMMEL – Go straight to jail
