Jen Psaki Has Nowhere to Turn After Student Journalist Catches Her in Whopper About SCOTUS Protests – Opinion

While Jen Psaki’s days as Joe Biden’s Ministress of Truth were officially over effective May 13th, the woman who served in various spokesperson capacities for two of the most dishonest presidential administrations in American history is still cranking out the whoppers as she gets set to take on her new role as hostess of an as-yet-to-be-named program on MSNBC’s “Peacock” streaming service.

Psaki spoke Wednesday at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics in her first public speaking engagement since leaving the White House. give “her reflections from the White House podium & the challenges of today’s media environment.”

Though Psaki undoubtedly thought it would be smooth sailing, as it turns out she did indeed face challenges from the media during the event when a reporter from the University’s “Chicago Thinker” independent newspaper stepped to the microphone and questioned her over her comments from earlier this month when she stated in response to a question about radical pro-abortionists protesting outside of the homes of conservative Supreme Court Justices that “We certainly continue to encourage that [what she called “peaceful protests”] outside of judges’ homes.”

This answer was flawed because it ignored the fact that protests held outside the residences of judges in the intention of inducing (read: intimidating them) to make a decision are illegal and can result in fines or a year imprisonment.

It is perhaps with that thought in mind that “Chicago Thinker” journalist/senior editor Daniel Schmidt rose from his seat to ask her about those remarks and if she regretted them. Psaki initially denied that she had said what she claimed. Schmidt held his phone up and claimed he was paraphrasing her. Psaki then tried to insinuate that because he left the word “peaceful” out of his question that he was lying about what she said. Schmidt correctly pointed out that “peaceful” or not, she and the rest of the Biden White House advocated for unlawful protests outside of the Justices’ homes.

Psaki’s response was to gaslight in the extreme, yada-yadaing about how she “never encouraged anyone to protest,” saying that she instead “encouraged them to engage peacefully and to do it without violence.” It was classic word games from her, as though “engage peacefully” is any different from “protest peacefully.”

After being caught up in her lies web, she looked completely foolish. The video below illustrates this:

Even better was when The Thinker dropped the video clip of her saying what she says she “never” said and tagged her on it:

The “Chicago Thinker” has been on a tear over the last couple of months, first by absolutely wrecking CNN’s Brian Stelter during a “disinformation conference” in early April when another one of their student reporters gave him an epic lecture on CNN’s role in being a leading “purveyor of disinformation.”

At the same conference, Atlantic staff writer Anne Applebaum gave a revealing answer when she was asked by the Thinker about the media’s suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story:

“My problem with Hunter Biden’s laptop is, I think, [it’s]It’s completely irrelevant. I mean it’s not whether it’s disinformation — I don’t think Hunter Biden’s business relationships have anything to do with who should be president of the United States. So, I don’t find it to be interesting.”

If the “Chicago Thinker” is representative of what the future holds for journalism, I have just two words to add to this:

More, please!
