All over the world, new religions are emerging. One is COVID, the other J6.
Yesterday was J6’s high holy day. The Day of The Insurrection. Singing, lighting candles, and sharing stories were some of the highlights. Joe Biden (may God rest his soul) gave his speech with fire in the belly and fresh air in his ears. Kamala Harris reminded us with no French accent or cackle that J6 is Pearl Harbor and 911. The purple rope in the chamber with statues kept the hordes away, however, could have marked the end to the republic.
Brian Stelter of the Order of the Potato gave examples of journalists who saw the end of democracy. Our superiors in J6 clergy like Eric Swalwell, may peace be with him), spoke out to their horror.

Eric was present when the Capital was broken. Eric was there to defend the Capital and took off his clothes for what lay ahead. Eric was ready to protect sacred ground with nothing more than his plastic haircomb and a photograph of his honeypot.

Rep. DeLauro recalled sitting with female journalists in the gallery. It was all a fog of emotions, but she recalled looking down and realizing that she “only had so much juice” on her cell phone.
All the Bulwarks for democracy, Saviors of Faith, and all. Yesterday — the day of the Insurrection — cannot be forgotten.
