Internet Buzzing With Rumors Ukraine May Score Victory Against Russia Near Kyiv – Opinion

It’s a slow news day about Ukraine. The US and world are waiting for Poland’s controversial proposal to NATO regarding peacekeeping at their upcoming summit in Brussels, March 24th. Mainstream media is focusing on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine in Mariupol. The Russian army has been engaging in street fighting in the city.

The telegram chat book “Ukrainian freedom news” shows a clip of the fighting.

However, the Internet buzz is centered near Kyiv capital where Ukrainian forces seem to have been in motion since about March 19th against the Russian Army. You should take any information about Ukraine as propaganda from both sides with up to 99% of it. A tweet from a Berlin Ukrainian sympathizer on March 22 suggests that Ukrainian forces might be in the process to cut off a significant Russian formation.

“According to unconfirmed but realistic looking reports, Russian troops have got surrounded in Bucha, Irpin and Hostomel area near Kyiv, cut from supplies. If true – the biggest defeat of a Russian army until now, and Ukraine needs to start worrying about too many POWs”

Irpin is a Kyiv suburb where it was reported that the famous bridge crossing between refugees of the two armies has taken place. It is the location where journalists Pierre Zakrzewski, Oleksandra “Sasha” Kuvshynova, and Benjamin Hall were attacked.

A second tweet depicts what appears to be the position of Russian and Ukrainian units as of March 19.  This pattern is consistent with an envelope that, if true has the plausible result of a humiliating field defeat for Russian Federation’s armed forces.

CNN tentatively reports a win claimed by Ukrainian forces in Makariv. CNN also published the news item. Although it is not confirmed, CNN considered it to have sufficient merit to allow them publication. The news that Ukraine won along the E40 road, which connects to Bucha and Irpin, raises the possibility that their Russian counterparts may be outflanked.

CNN reported that Ukraine has won a ground victory over Russian forces at Makariv (a suburb west of Kyiv).

As the Russian Army suffers from logistics and command issues, a battlefield victory could be a significant change in the calculations of Moscow regarding the current war.Th day. Russia did not intend for the war to go on so long. The Kremlin did not think that it would prove so hard to win. But the casualty count is now a statistically significant portion of the 130,000+  force with which Russia launched the invasion. The reports indicate that there are approximately 9,000-plus dead, and that there were 16,000+ injuries. These figures contrast with the 498 deaths reported to Russians via the Kremlin’s state media.  It would not be easy to conceal a Russian field loss in which Russian troops are held captive en masse.

Vladimir Putin has not yet shown an inclination to hold serious talks at the bargaining table even though Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already offered Ukraine’s neutrality to be a non-aligned European state that is not a member of NATO, effectively satisfying Mr. Putin’s most important desire to have a buffer state between his country and the NATO alliance.

But if Ukraine is indeed beginning to win the ground game against the Russians, the Russian position at the bargaining table may begin to erode, particularly if the prowess of Ukraine’s superior command and control, logistics, and tenacity continue to be resupplied by friendly nations such as the US, European Union, and an increasingly bold NATO alliance.

Two days remain before the NATO summit in Brussels.  Many things could change in the time between now, and then. They’ll have a lot to talk about.
