In the wake of January 6th, there has been a lot of use of the word “insurrection.” I believe the narrative goes a little something like this:
Trump ordered all of his followers to attack the US Capitol on January 6th and seize control of the US government. They rioted all the way from Capitol Hill to the speech by the 100 percent-strong crowd. One of the generals dressed in a Trump-supporting ritualistic uniform with animal skins & war paint took over the US Government and became its temporary head. After the heroic actions of the US Capitol Police who did not permit these men to enter the building, or even shot an unarmed lady, the violence was put down and the order restored.
In the aftermath of the January 6th raid on the Capitol, any person asking about the matter is no different than those who carried it out that day. Words like “treason,” “sedition,” or even “insurrection” are thrown about regarding the vast majority of people who broke nothing, stole nothing, and injured no one. As J6ers have found themselves in jail, being denied their very basic human rights, and are having their Constitutional rights trampled, the left sits back and cheers under the guise of “They got what was coming to them.”
Let me be crystal clear: I did not support some of those who took place at the US Capitol that day. It was a momentary, brief chaos that was led by some wackos. To suggest otherwise is a distraction from talking about other real and very important issues… Like how the left and the media conspired to overthrow the US Government and remove a legally elected President by any means necessary.
There were many unanswered questions at the beginning of the COVID era. Trump’s demise was a matter of great concern. Whether it was the initial spread or the mounting death toll, the left constantly attempted to make every shortfall Trump’s fault. As time went on and the data became clearer, we came to find out that policies and persons which were championed by the left and media as “courage” and “leadership” led to the unnecessary deaths of tens of thousands of people nationally. The CDC released studies that contradicted the data in practice, saying “masks work” but failing to provide a single correlation between increased mask compliance and lower transmission, hospitalization, and death rates.
When Trump was infected with COVID-19, the media secretly hoped for his death, and collectively hated when he, as a 74-year-old overweight man, made a full recovery within a few days after having been treated by the very treatments they had been telling the world, didn’t work. When Trump’s Administration approved the first vaccines, they allowed for leftists to openly question the safety of the vaccine, only to demand complete fealty to those same vaccines after January 20th, 2021. Despite Trump’s continued support and vocal advocacy for vaccine compliance, being unvaxxed was weaponized against Trump supporters simply because they decided to not accept those vaccines when, classicly, anti-vaxxers are granola-munching leftists. The media celebrated Kamala Harris’s instruction to people not to trust vaccines. Des Moines soccer mom Kamala Harris is referred to as a conspirator if she does the exact same thing about her child’s vaccine approval.
When Trump suggested that China was responsible for the initial outbreak and that the virus may have come from a Chinese viral lab, the media called such talk, “xenophobia.” For more than a year, they made it a crime against the media to suggest that the Wuhan Institute of Virology may have been the source of the virus, and that the potential exists that US Government officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, may have funded the very research which created this virus. Facts like, “They were conducting research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Lab” and “The Wuhan Institute of Virology was storing a virus which shares 96 percent of its genetic code with SARS-CoV-2” (the virus responsible for the COVID-19 infections) were considered heresy.
The media began to cover Trump’s injury from the COVID story. As rumors swirled regarding Biden’s health and mental wellbeing, the media would never cover Biden’s flubs, leaving it only to their “fact-checkers” to “translate” what “he really meant” when he said things like “Trunalimunumaprzure.” When Biden would disappear for days at a time, or call a lid on the press at 9 AM, no questions were ever allowed regarding Biden’s fitness to be President and answered with classic whataboutisms regarding Trump. Later in the race, when Hunter Biden’s unsavory behavior was exposed, the media conspired with leftists in government to label any coverage of Hunter’s behavior as “Russian Disinformation.” When we reported on the Hunter Biden story here at RedState, the mainstream media labeled us “pizzagate conspiracy theorists.”
When Biden appeared to be victorious in the election, the media and tech giants labeled any questions regarding the outcome of the election as “unAmerican,” and not based in fact. Yet, when people ask questions regarding their lack of coverage of the fact that Pennsylvania State Officials ignored an order from the United States Supreme Court regarding the separation of ballots, there’s no response. People ask why Dane County saw record turnout, which is home to the University of Wisconsin. This was in the middle of an epidemic in which students have not been on campus. We are then told to ignore the question. We ask Georgian poll watchers why counting had been stopped at night and resumed immediately after leaving the building. They tell us that it is a matter of making a mountain from a molehill.
All this action, which was costly millions to set in motion, came from people who believe that the 100k Russian spending affected 2016’s outcome. For four years, we heard nothing but garbage from these same people about Trump’s legitimacy, and conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory about how Trump met with Russians or was being blackmailed by Russians or that he was a Russian asset. But, we discovered that these people were only spinning lies time after time.
Who had the greatest effect on the outcome? A tenth of one million dollars was spent on social media advertising by Russians. Or, a coordinated and organized conspiracy of American media and left to deceive the American voter about which candidates they could vote for? Both the media and the American left have lied about Trump. They also lied regarding COVID. Biden was lied about, but they insist on talking only about 2020. They lecture us about the “most secure election in our history” yet cannot tell you who voted when and where, and in what precinct in the country. This is total nonsense.
Insurrection was evident in the treasonous, seditious behaviour of media and left. Comparisons to January 6th are laughable because what were the stated goals of J6 “insurrectionists?” What were they going to accomplish? What would a “successful insurrection” look like to them?
Ask yourself the exact same question about the American media and left. Consider if you would prefer a different outcome for a media rebellion than what we got.
I just hope that someday soon, these treasonous snakes “get what is coming to them.”
