Liberals are proud to recognize other liberals. International Center for Journalists has announced Friday that they will award Andrea Mitchell, Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent and Washington Bureau Chief for NBC News with the ICFJ Founders Prize for Excellence In Journalism. She will receive the award at the “ICFJ Tribute to Journalists 2022” event on November 10 in Washington, hosted by CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer.
It is easy to see that this board includes Carrie Budoff Brown who is senior vice president of IFCJ.Meet the PressJohn Heilemann is a national affairs analyst at MSNBC and NBC.
It was the center that deserved all of it:
Mitchell hosts MSNBC’s “The View from Mitchell”. Andrea Mitchell Reports, and she is the network’s leading voice on U.S. foreign policy and international diplomacy – including on the current war in Ukraine….
Over 55 years of service, [she’s 75]Mitchell is well-known for his work. Her determination and expert analysis are a testament to her perseverance.Ob breaking news in presidential elections or clarifying complex issues with exclusive interviews of U.S. leaders.
“Andrea Mitchell is He is one of our greatest journalists, and we are proud to honor her with the ICFJ Founders Award,” said ICFJ President Sharon Moshavi. “From keeping us informed about the vital diplomacy happening right now to resolve the Ukraine war to breaking news about political developments for decades, Andrea Mitchell is a master at it all. Andrea Mitchell does it all better than anyone..”
Mitchell also closely covered the complex U.S.-Cuban relationship for decades and led NBC News’ coverage of the historic thaw with the island country beginning in 2014, including a series of interviews with Cuban President Fidel Castro.
Mitchell He is one of the top political reporters in the world. It has been eight years since she covered the presidents Jimmy Carter, Joe Biden and others. As part of the first ever all-female presidential debate moderators, she moderated the Democratic presidential discussion in 2019. During the 2016 election cycle, she led coverage of Hillary Clinton’s second presidential campaign, becoming known as the “dean of the Clinton press corps.”
Her “tenacity” when covering Hillary Clinton was something she wasn’t known for. Fawningly, she was well-known as a Clinton supporter.
Also, she wasn’t persistent with Castro. When the dictator died in 2016, Mitchell unfurled the usual nonsense about how Castro “gave his people better health care and education.” Her words were that Castro was “willed to be venerated” for providing “education, health services, and medical care to all of the people he served.”
