Indiana Passes Abortion Ban After Promoted by Joe Biden as an Abortion Haven – Opinion

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has signed into law Friday a bill to ban abortions in Indiana. The bill was signed by Governor Holcomb minutes after it had been passed in the special session of the Indiana legislature. This law does not ban abortion in cases of rape or incest. It also prohibits abortion when a pregnant woman has the potential to die or is exposed to severe health risks. The current Indiana abortion law restricts abortion after 22 weeks. This was in response to Joe Biden’s comparison of the Indiana law with that of Ohio. See Joe Biden Continues the Story of a Ten-Year-Old Victim of Rape Denied Abortion, but is this true?

The bill doesn’t, as far as I can tell, require a police report to be filed to support a claim of rape or incest; this, if I am reading it correctly, is a colossal error. However, it does define “severe health risks” to exclude:

It does not encompass psychological or emotional conditions. It is possible to exclude a woman from a medical diagnosis if she claims or makes a statement that she will commit acts that could lead to her death, or cause physical harm.

This removes the “psychological health” excuse created in Bolton vs. DoeThis opened the doors to abortions on demand.

My knowledge has it that there are 7 Indiana abortion facilities and 15 other locations serving as feeds to these abortion mills.

This is the map that shows the current state of play during the fight for your life.

It is revealing the many political swindlers who use the pro-life cause to their advantage. West Virginia’s legislature is slow-walking an abortion ban. We’re also seeing judges in nearly every state with an abortion ban taking it upon themselves to invent a right to abortion in the state constitution. This will all change over time. Those arguing against it, however, will be forced to defend the right on its merits. This is an uphill battle we can win.
