Illinois schools are instructing teachers how to modify their grading procedures based on race.
Oak Park and River Forest High School (OPRF) school board members approved a plan to “equalize” testing scores among different racial groups. Many people would imagine that “equalizing” test scores across racial groups means offering extra tutoring services, mentoring, and learning tools to minority students.
Not at OPRF.
School board members discussed the plan called “Transformative Education Professional Development & Grading” at a meeting on May 26, presented by Assistant Superintendent for Student Learning Laurie Fiorenza.
In an attempt to level test scores between racial group, OPRF is ordering its teachers not to include in their grading assessments any variables which it feels disproportionally affects the grades black students. The plan states that they cannot be dismissed for tardiness, failing to complete assignments or misbehaving in class.
With no irony or shame, the ten page proposal lists bullet points to help you grade by race.
We talk about “the soft bigotry of low expectations” when it comes to how liberals treat minority learning abilities.
This is not even a “soft bigotry.” This is just blatant, outright bigotry.
Someone could tell me that they would lower standards for my kids because I am black. This would make my loving and educated heart bleed. President Biden told us that election integrity laws were the new Jim Crow, but the “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” agenda is truly Jim Crow dressed up as progress. It separates students by race and provides preference and consideration for those with different races.
If that’s not racist, I have an innocent nuclear power plant in Iran to sell you.
