Governor DeSantis’s Press Team Claps Back Against The View’s Interview Request

The coven that occupies the soundstage of ABC’s The View are not fans of Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis and they’ve been very vocal about it, and NewsBusters has been right there documenting it. On Tuesday we found out that the show had reached out to Governor Ron DeSantis to plead with the team for him to be on the show. But his team rejected the request and clapped back with examples of the show’s nasty smears against him.

On Monday, DeSantis’s deputy press secretary Bryan Griffin tweeted that “[The View]On Friday, Governor DeSantis contacted our office to request that we arrange for him to appear on the show. ‘We would be honored,’ they wrote.” He also asked his followers for their “thoughts” on the matter.

In a follow-up tweet on Tuesday, Griffin added a screenshot of the DeSantis team’s response where they told off the booker:

Thank you for inviting me. This request is being sent on behalf of your company.

Are the View’s hosts really interested in Governor DeSantis talking about the crucial work he has done for Floridians to defend liberty, their families, and to preserve their health and well-being?

“Which of the below statements from the hosts of the View do you recommend our team consider when deciding if the interview will a genuine pursuit of the truth? Or worth our time?” he added, listing off four instances where the co-host spewed hatred at him.

Joy Behar, the co-host of this episode called DeSantis in the first instance. “a negligent, homicidal sociopath” trying to “appeal to his white supremacist base.”

Now, we don’t know where the hyperlinks in the email lead to, but NewsBusters has documented some of the incidents mentioned. We reported on Sunny Hostin calling the Governor. “Death-Santis”He was maliciously called “Mr. “a fascist and a bigot.”Ana Navarro, the co-host of that show called his policies “anti-American” and falsely claimed they’re “what happens in Venezuela” and “what happens in Nicaragua.”

There was also the case where Hostin lashed out at DeSantis’s effort to get the racist ideology of Critical Race Theory out of Florida schools. “[T]Hoses are against history laws. Anti-Black history laws are real. Who will be next if you begin to target black people? The LGBTQ+  community, and then women and then other marginalized groups. I’m surprised parents have jumped on the bandwagon that this is where it leads,”They reacted with a rhetorical sneer at her.

Recent developments include The ViewThe coven used the caldron of their cauldron to invent a false claim about DeSantis’s scheme to scam donors with automatic, recurring donations. Later, Governor DeSantis would speak out at a conference against the lies. “I got accused by some of these people on one of these shows… And they tried to say that like, we had auto-donate where it keeps going every month. My staff does not allow that. [campaign]. That was a lie. We do not do that,” he declared.

DeSantis’s press secretary, Christina Pushaw put out her own tweet, saying “Liberal media wants to interview Governor DeSantis because his popularity draws ratings. But @GovRonDeSantis will not assist failing legacy media outlets in growing an audience for their smear pieces & biased reporting laden with contempt for Americans.”

Mic drops.
