Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has made police officers an offer they might not be able to refuse amid the Democrats’ authoritarian push to compel Americans to take the COVID-19 vaccine. To help police officers who are not willing to receive the vaccine, he is offering to pay $5,000 to them to be relocated to the Sunshine State.
DeSantis recently promised that his administration “will treat you better” than other state governments threatening to fire officers for refused the vaccine. During an appearance with Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures,”The governor stated:
We’re actually actively working to recruit out-of-state law enforcement, because we do have needs in our police and our sheriff’s departments. So, in the next legislative session, I’m going to hopefully sign legislation that gives a $5,000 bonus to any out-of-state law enforcement that relocates in Florida.
Gov. Ron DeSantis plans to sign legislation that offers $5,000 bonus to police officers from other states who relocate to Florida.

DeSantis addressed officials in New York, Seattle and Minneapolis.
If you’re not being treated well, we will treat you better here. We will pay you compensation if your contribution helps us meet our most important needs.
The governor then explained that he would be calling a special session of the state’s legislature to block vaccine mandates enacted by federal and local governments. He added:
It is clear. We’re going to have a special session, and we’re going to say, nobody should lose their job based off these injections. It’s a choice you can make. But we want to make sure we’re protecting your jobs and your livelihoods.
Vaccine mandates have led to police shortages in most of America’s major cities. Given that this is occurring amid a skyrocketing crime rate, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how problematic this could become. The far-leftist dictators who are in control of these areas don’t seem care.
Chicago officers, for example, are resisting mandates that went into effect October 18. DeSantis could get his way and allow for some relief to officers that are not ready to be vaxxed.
This is a smart move on DeSantis’ part, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see other Republican governors follow suit. If the left wishes to push for vaccine mandates and other onerous measures, giving people an opportunity and incentive to get out while the getting’s good might finally make some of these blue states start feeling the pain.
Of course, we can’t ignore the fact that this was a shrewd political move. This story is enough to prove that DeSantis has begun to position himself as a candidate for the White House. The Texas governor is likely to be the one who comes up with this idea. Greg Abbott must be rejoicing for having not come up with this idea.
Political ambitions aside, the police and other personnel who find themselves in this position need to be able to resist the pressure from the hard left. While governors like DeSantis can’t give this type of offer to employees working at companies who are following President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate, something is better than nothing as this battle continues to rage.
