“Big Tech has become the censorship arm of the Democratic Party,” Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared Thursday, pointing to Congressional testimony citing Media Research Center (MRC) studies proving his point.
The giant social media platforms that block conservative voices are stopping them from being heard, and Americans need to fight back. Gov. DeSantis tweeted:
Big Tech is now the political left’s censorship arm, silencing or deplatforming any person who disagrees with the left-wing narrative.
Silicon Valley oligarchs should not be our arbiters for free speech. We have to stand up! https://t.co/7x3UZGDlrT

DeSantis included video footage of Wednesday’s House testimony from Kara Frederick, an ex-FB employee who is currently working as a Heritage Foundation research fellow.
In the video, Frederick cites statistics from multiple MRC research studies documenting social media bias and its effect on last year’s presidential election, MRC’s NewsBusters division reports:
“‘The confluence of evidence is irrefutable. Twitter and Facebook Censure Republican members of Congress at a rate of fifty-three to one, compared to Democrats. Twitter suspends conservatives twenty-one times more often than liberals,‘Frederick stated. ‘These practices have distinct political effects.’
“Frederick then cited MRC’s explosive polling on the 2020 election. ‘The Media Research Center found in 2020 that one in six Biden voters Claimed they would have modified their vote hadThey been aware of information that was actively suppressed by tech companies. 50-2% of Americans Believe social media suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story constituted election interference.’”
Conservatives under attack. Your representatives should be contacted to insist that Big Tech be held responsible for ensuring the First Amendment is mirrored and conservatives are treated equally.
