GoFundMe Shuts Down Canadian Freedom Convoy Account and Sends the Money Where It Decides – Opinion

The GoFundMe account that supports the Canadian Freedom Convoy raised more than $9 million in donations over the last week. This account was closed today at the request by the Trudeau dictatorship. GoFundMe decided that the money would be repurposed and sent to charity with the approval of the corporation, rather than being returned to donors. You have to submit an “application” to get your money back. Here is GoFundMe’s statement:

We work closely with the local authorities in order to have an accurate and complete understanding of what is happening on the ground. This helps GoFundMe remain a trustworthy platform. Following a review of relevant facts and multiple discussions with local law enforcement and city officials, this fundraiser is now in violation of our Terms of Service (Term 8, which prohibits the promotion of violence and harassment) and has been removed from the platform.

The organizers provided an outline distribution plan earlier in the week. They confirmed that funds would only be used for those who were able to travel to Ottawa for peaceful protests. Given how this situation has evolved, no further funds will be directly distributed to the Freedom Convoy organizers — we will work with organizers to send all remaining funds to credible and established charities chosen by the Freedom Convoy 2022 organizers and verified by GoFundMe.

The statement is utter bullsh** down to its core. GoFundMe does this because the large tech companies act as armies of progressive governments to implement their will. You can see this on YouTube and Google Ads as well as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and everywhere else. Trudeau is embarrassed by the Freedom Convoy and Canadian politics are shaken up. They are a danger. There is neither violence nor credible threats of violence associated with the Freedom Convoy, but we can’t have mere proles standing up to a fascist darling, can we?

This was something we could have expected, I believe. After all, GoFundMe deactivated the account, raising money for Kyle Rittenhouse’s legal defense while leaving in place the funding effort to bail out BLM rioters. They have an active fundraising page for Gaige “Lefty” Grosskreutz, a felon who brandished a firearm at Rittenhouse. Don’t use these people. Ever. Don’t contribute to fundraisers on their site and let the organizers know why.

Our society is moving towards parallel systems. This is not healthy for pluralistic society. Abject surrender is the only way to end voluntary political apartheid. I won’t give up on my children.
