Germany Spits in the Face of the United States Again, Dares Biden to Challenge Them – Opinion

If you’ve read much of my writing here at RedState, it’s no secret that I’m not a fan of Germany. Their abstention from NATO responsibility has been a pattern for many years. They are now tied to the Russians.

Trump’s administration was divided by their contradictory demands that the U.S. pays for defense of the country they enrich and empower. Unfortunately, because owning the orange man was always the priority of the American left, they chose to side with the Germans at every turn, claiming that application of pressure represented “undermining NATO.”

Here’s one exchange in which Trump challenged Germany on its attempts to play both sides.

Instead of supporting this common sense approach, American left (and neoconservative rights) grabbed their pearls to take the side of Germany. Later, Joe Biden would run on the idea of “restoring” our alliances, but the results of that have been anything but positive.

Sure, the Europeans like Biden more than they did Trump, but that’s only because Biden gives them what they want without demanding anything in return. This has encouraged Germany and other countries to continue to spew in the face the United States.

This has unfortunately happened once again, with Russia continuing to invade Ukraine.

Even though there are not many sanctions that could draw blood from Russia due to the current support Putin receives from China, it would be a huge blow to disconnect the Russian financial sector and SWIFT from Russia. You would expect that now is the right time to fire that shot, given Russia’s current invasion. It is not a good idea to have anything on reserve.

Yet, the Germans are once again standing in the way, despite the fact that Putin’s move was largely facilitated by their idiotic energy policies. They are challenging Joe Biden by doing this.

Is he going to? I wouldn’t count on it. Biden’s approval from the Eurotrash leadership is a prerequisite. And he made it a point to make sure he never makes a move without it. In reality, the United States does not need Germany’s permission to disconnect Russia from SWIFT. But, the United States continues to allow the most responsible country in the world to decide the terms for all of this.

This is a good example of how partisanship shouldn’t be allowed to continue at home. Doing business with Germany correctly should have been more important than the desire to possess Donald Trump. Now, the United States is operating from a position of weakness, and the current president doesn’t appear to have the resolve to tell the Germans to pound sand.
