George Conway On CNN: Trump Guilty Like . . . O.J. Simpson?!

How much do George Conway—and by extension, CNN—detest Donald Trump? It’s enough to compare Donald Trump with O.J. Simpson is the civilly held responsible for two horrific stabbing murders.

A frequent CNN guest, Conway—co-founder and leader of the anti-Trump Lincoln Project until it collapsed in a sex scandal—appeared on Thursday morning’sNeue Day.

Conway thought he was more sensible because he cited the case in which Simpson was convicted of armed robbery despite his belief that he was retrieving goods that had been stolen from him. That belief was irrelevant, given the illegal means—the use of a gun—that Simpson employed in retaking the goods.

Conway claimed, by analogy that Trump thought the election had been stolen and he still used illegal methods to reverse it. The means Conway cited was the use of force—the Capitol riot—and Trump’s intention to join it.

CONWAY: Remember the O.J. Simpson case—not the first one, not the murder case—but the one he actually went to jail for nine years in Nevada state prison for, which was An armed robbery case.

A memorabilia dealer was lured into his hotel by him believing that the other man had stolen his stuff. Because he had stolen his stuff, he was determined to get it back. He did so at gunpoint. He did, however. It didn’t matter to O.J. Simpson believed that the stuff belonged only to him. It doesn’t matter that Donald Trump may have believed that the election had been won by him. He used illegal methods. And intended to use illegal methods to, and to, steal the stuff back!

Trump didn’t actually go to Capitol Hill on January 6, 2017. And, the FBI found no evidence to suggest that Trump orchestrated the violence. Conway’s contrite analogy, regardless of Trump’s legal or moral failings speaks more about Trump’s unrelenting hatred than the ex-president’s flaws.

And CNN knows what it’s getting when it offers Conway a platform—which is precisely why the liberal network has him on so often! Trump is likened to O.J. Simpson? CNN could have considered this the cherry on top

Not to be a snide critic of Conway’s O.J. John Berman, the cohost, added to the flames by pointing out that Trump’s former White House Counsel Pat Cipollone had reportedly informed him that certain actions that he was contemplating were illegal.

CNN’s New Day featured George Conway comparing Donald Trump’s legal status to O.J. Simpson was sponsored in part by Johnson & Johnson, maker of Pepcid, Subway, Trivago, and Comcast.

JOHN BERMAN – George, we are so grateful for your presence. [If]You were the counsel for Pat Cipollone’s January 6th committee. Now, you sit down to a transcription interview. How do you approach him?

GEORGE CONWAY : I ask him about everything that took place on January 6. He tells me about Cassidy Hutchinson’s statements, and he says that Mr. Cipollone said that he was afraid that they would charge us with “everything beneath the sun” if Donald Trump is allowed to ascend to Capitol Hill.

It’s clear that there are many questions to him. There will be many to inquire whether he warned Donald Trump about possible criminal liability. Cipollone is required to complete a detailed accounting.

CONWAY: I think the effect could be to strengthen Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimonyThat’s why it was raised — that is testimony It was a significant step in proving Donald Trump’s criminal intent.

Und Let me tell you why. Do you remember O.J.

However, he still used illegal methodsIt was intended that the illegal methods would be used to take back the goods!

That’s what’s going on with Trump. It was Cassidy Hutchinson’s witness that showed us that. Donald Trump intended to use illegal means—force—to take back the presidency, by marching with these peopleHe knew that magnetometers couldn’t pass through them because they were equipped. He didn’t even care. They should go to the Hill, he wanted. We learned this devastating testimony, as well as the fact that Cipollone stated that there was potential criminal activity here, if Trump is allowed to ascend to Capitol Hill.

BERMAN It is illegal to keep a fake elector. It would be illegal.
