GAME OVER? Gaming Giant Sony Reportedly Caves to Abortion Crowd After Lib Media Whines

Gaming and entertainment titans have reportedly agreed to support abortion rights and are now reportedly spending big money to encourage baby-killing, after liberal newspapers complained.

The Washington Post whined on May 11 that the “video game industry stay[ed] mostly silent” on the abortion issue following the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion appearing to reverseRoe v. Wade (1973).. Pressure built, and just one day later, Bloomberg News blasted Sony PlayStation for comments PlayStation President Jim Ryan made reportedly urging his employees in a leaked email to “respect differences of opinion” on abortion. The Bloomberg News story was dramatically headlined “Sony PlayStation Staff Fume Over CEO’s Abortion Comments.”

You can fast-forward five days to May 16th, and you will be there. The Post released a story headlined: “After Roe v. Wade cat email gaffe, Sony and Insomniac plan donations.” Specifically, Sony subsidiary Insomniac Games, announced “plans to donate $50,000 to the Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project (WRRAP),” according to the report. Sony reportedly promised to match Insomniac’s initial $50,000 pledge, which boosts that sum to a whopping $100,000 donation for pro-abortion causes.

There is a simple way to get executives at Sony to give in under pressure and make them sweat.

WRRAP is a leftist pro-abortion organization that describes itself as “the largest national, independent, nonprofit abortion fund.” WRRAP did not respond to a request for comment from MRC Business at the time of publication.

But for an organization that includes the word “Women” in the name, WRRAP does not seem to understand what a “woman” actually is. On the “About” page of its website, the pro-abortion group claims that it “assists women* and girls of all ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds” who can’t afford an abortion. WRRAP clarified that its asterisked definition of “women” covers “Transgender, genderqueer, and other non-binary women who identify as woman-identified are all possible.” [Emphasis added].

Also, you can also have an abortion by biological men?

The Merriam-Webster dictionary, on the other hand, defines “woman” in just four words: “an adult female person.”

Maybe part of Sony’s and Insomniac’s $100,000 baby-killing donation can go toward helping WRRAP buy a decent dictionary.

Sony plans to offer employees the opportunity to travel abroad for an abortion, according to The Post. Sony would join a growing group of companies that are influential, such as Amazon, who quietly stated it would provide support for women traveling to have abortions.

Insomniac and Sony seem keen to avoid the media spotlight regarding the American abortion wars. Sonynor Insomniac have posted about their abortion policy on Twitter or Facebook accounts between May 2 — the day Politico published its story on the leaked Roe decision — and May 17.

Neither company returned MRC Business’s requests for comment before publication.
