Fact Checkers Nitpick: Durham Never Said the Libs ‘Infiltrated’ Trump Tower, White House

John Durham said that Clinton campaign lawyers spied on the Trump team’s Internet activities. The “independent facts checkers” wanted to minimize what John Durham had to say. Fox News used words that sound like active verbs to sell a story. This was because Team Clinton had paid for the “infiltrate” of Trump’s orbit.

First there’s Dean Miller at Lead Stories, a website that Facebook uses to warn users of “misinformation.”

Fact Check: Clinton’s Special Counsel did NOT say that Clinton paid tech boss to infiltrate Trump Tower or White House Servers

On some level, this assumes that the liberal media never used any more colorful language to describe Mueller’s findings. They are more inclined to scrutinize liberal media articles than conservative media.

John Durham, Special Counsel to Hillary Clinton in court documents allege that servers were infiltrated at Trump Tower in order to establish a connection between Russian operatives in America and Donald J. Trump. It’s false. Both the Durham 2021 indictment and the current filing about 2016 indicate that no one infiltrated the servers of Trump Tower or White House. The fact-check is limited to the claims that the White House was infiltrated and the other servers.

Durham’s filing said contractor Rodney Joffe “exploited” his access to internet records to help Team Clinton gather “derogatory information about Donald Trump.”

According to the filing, Joffe was said to have looked through the data of his employer’s client in search of information about “(i), a specific healthcare provider, (ii), Trump Tower, (iii), Donald Trump’s Central Park West apartment block, and (iv) The Executive Office of President of the United States”. However, it does not mention that Joffe accessed or connected to any of the servers operated by these entities.

According to Durham’s indictment, the chronology of events makes claims regarding White House server hacking. nonsensical.

Then there was Glenn Kessler at The Washington Post

Since being appointed special counsel 16 months ago, after a preliminary investigation lasting 17 months, Durham has filed two indictments. Right-leaning media scrutinizes every court filing, often in misleading ways.

For instance, Fox News has reported that Durham alleged that Clinton’s “presidential campaign in 2016 had paid to ‘infiltrate’ servers belonging to Trump Tower and later the White House.” But the word “infiltrate,” even though it is in quotes, appears nowhere in Durham’s filing. This word is instead via Kash PatelFormer Trump Administration official, who added his unique spin to the document.

We’ll suppress a wry smile about misleading words in headlines. Glenn Kessler wrote a hilarious one about headlines a few months ago. Biden’s claims that his “great grand-pop” was a coal miner are mostly false.” It did not work out.

Joffe publicist assertions that he was “apolitical,” are being repeated by journalists. This needs to be checked.

Kimberly Strassel reports at The Wall Street JournalJoffe “sat” for October 2018. New Yorkerpiece, anonymously calling himself Max. This was the part that drove unfounded claims against Alfa Bank. Max Joffe was identified in an Alfa litigation deposition.

Here’s the most revealing bit: “Max” also explained to the New Yorker how vitally important it was in 2016 to make sure the threat his team discovered was “known before the election.” Which was why he and his lawyer first went with their information to the press. According to the Sussmann Indictment, Mr. Sussmann attempted to sell the data. New York Times Late August 2016. He didn’t approach the FBI until the middle of September. Mr. Joffe’s spokesperson declined to comment.
