The question isn’t “Haven’t we seen this movie before?” It’s “How many times have we seen it?”
As the histrionic left-wing puddle of goo continues to seethe over West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin’s announcement that he is a hard “no” on Biden’s “Build Back Better” pile of steaming peat moss, Hollywood has-been Bette Midler responded the way any sensible person would respond:
She called the entire state of Virginia “poor, illiterate, and strung out.” (Emphasis and brackets, mine.)
What Joe ManchinBrooklyn’s population is smaller than Brooklyn’s. [and that matters, how?]America. America must move forward. As his state is, it’s horrible.
[She has zero idea what she’s talking about.]
We were sold by him. [“Us,” who?]He desires us to all be like his state. West Virginia. Strung-out, poor and illiterate
Ooh, nice effort. Although she should have included “inbred” for the win.
What #JoeManchinThis man, representing a small population, was able to do to America what he did to Brooklyn. America wants to progress, not go backwards like his state. We were sold to him. He desires us all to look like West Virginia. Strung-out, poor and illiterate

Let’s be clear.
Bette Midler does not matter. Zero. Like Cher, she’s a washed-up has-been who has been irrelevant for years and remains desperate for attention and relevance. Sometimes she crawls out from the woodwork, but only occasionally to make herself look bad. She doesn’t.
What DoesMatter in the latest Hollywood Loony Tunes Episode is an example of liberal elitism
- The most terrible, bitter and horrible thing about an individual, group or policy.
- You should not be offended for saying it. Instead, offer a hollow apology that is often filled with absurd excuses.
- Keep being your dishonest bitter-leftist self.
Anyway, that “blistered for saying it” part began immediately and within an hour of Midler’s silly tweet, she issued an equally silly apology — which was even more hilarious — to “the good people of West Virginia.”
I apologize to The good people at WVAme for my most recent outburst. I’m just seeing red#JoeManchin, his entire family and their criminal organization.
Are you sure he is the best? [as determined by whom?]What does WV have to offer its citizens? Surely there’s someone there who has the state’s interests at heart, not his own! [Got ignorant arrogance?]
Oh, please. That apology was as phony as the color of her hair and whatever else she’s got going on.
And the “I’m just seeing red,” followed by more drivel, was her attempt to justify or rationalize lashing out and calling an entire state poor, illiterate, and strung out.
For my previous outburst, I sincerely apologize to WVA. I’m just seeing red; #JoeManchinHe and his family run a criminal business. Are his family the best West Virginia can offer their citizens? Surely there’s someone there who has the state’s interests at heart, not his own!

Of course, it’s not just Hollywood that says elitist crap. These are four words: Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama.
The 2016 presidential campaign was entering the home stretch. Trump supporters were dubbed the most unpopular presidential candidate ever.
You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the A basket of deplorables. The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. Unfortunately, there are many people like this. He has raised them.
The following day, Hillary’s campaign issued a quasi-apology which, like Bette Midler’s “apology,” included a healthy dose of rationalization. Hillary was being “grossly generalistic,” read the statement — suggesting she believed only part of Trump’s base belonged in the basket of deplorables, and that she was “wrong” for saying what she said. Nonsense. It was met with backlash. Hillary dumped her ugly, cheap housecoat.
Obama, At least Hillary was condescendingly elitist, and said the same thing about Midwesterners during 2008’s campaign. They were unaware that there was a hot microphone nearby.
They can get bitter. They hold on to their guns or religious beliefs or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
Was Obama able to offer an apology for his actions? Perhaps even an empty one. Oh, hell no — he’s Barack Obama. In fact, he retold 2008 comments during a PBS interview in 2015. However, it was less offensive.
Excerpts:
When you add that demographic shift to all of the economic stress that people are going through, I believe it will make a difference. […]Particularly blue-collar males have faced a lot in the new economy. […]
Combining these things can lead to anger, frustration and fear. There are some things that can be justified. Others, however. It seems like someone like Donald Trump might be taking advantage.
Let’s get to the bottom of it:
This is what liberalist elites believe, from Bette Midler through Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. It’s what they Really believe. The rest of us can’t comprehend their brilliance or all the great things they want to do for America.
They get angry when the opposition is serious. When we speak out, they get annoyed. We call them. They will answer the phone if we call them out. We can’t be helped, we should at least shut up so they can help those who line up like lemmings and believe everything they spew.
Liberals sometimes make empty excuses when they cross the line.
You can then go back to the original form.
