In case you haven’t heard, there is supposedly a new COVID-19 variant spreading in South Africa. It is believed to be more dangerous than the previous versions of the virus and evades the vaccines.
Given the amount of money corporations and governments have in creating panic to justify extreme measures, I doubt such extravagant claims. Still, there’s no downside to being cautious, and that leads me to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s latest comments.
Fauci said that South Africa would ban travel to the country when Fauci was asked. Fauci’s comments come amid multiple European countries announcing that they have done so.

When would the data say it’s necessary? After it’s already here and spreading? I simply don’t understand the logic here. Wouldn’t the goal be to stop that variant from coming to the United States in the first place?
This is why I don’t take this man seriously. The captain lockdown mandate man is not averse to taking extreme measures regarding the coronavirus. He’s supported everything from forced vaccinations to mask mandates to shutting down sports arenas. Every weekend, he gives interviews to the friendly media proclaiming the dangers of the virus.
But if the chance arises to simply stop air travel in a country that has a different variant of its currency, he doesn’t hesitate. Why? What is the difference between someone who will crush liberty and infringe the constitution domestically but being resolute when it comes down to the border (including the Southern Border), and one who wants to be a savior? That is something actually within the federal government’s purview.
Fauci made a comment on COVID-19’s origins, in which he was faced with the reality that not only the Chinese believe the wet market theory. This should raise suspicions over his motivations.
China admits COVID-19 probably did not originate on a dry market. Dr. Fauci claims otherwise. @margbrennanWe “certainly could have” added that the virus was “probably possible”, but we don’t “know how or where it came from”.

He’s like a kid that just won’t take no for an answer. If you actually watch Fauci in the clip trying to explain why it likely came from bats, it’s clear his knowledge on the subject is limited. He stumbles several times and refuses to accept the notion that the virus didn’t originate in a wet market. Fauci persists in his protection of China, despite the fact that there is evidence of the virus having leaked from Wuhan Institute of Virology.
That’s where I say he gives the game away. These two answers, the one on travel bans and the other about the source of the virus’ origins, are both deeply rooted in politics. Fauci seems to be concerned that he might be charged with xenophobia by recommending travel bans from African countries. Why not play safe, otherwise? In the second case, he’s steadfastly married to a claim that just so happens to follow the leftwing’s preferred narrative, which is that the virus occurred naturally. This also plays into China’s previous servitude.
Fauci is a man who enjoys the spotlight, but he’s also a man who adjusts his positions to keep him. That’s why so few trust him anymore. He’s simply a political actor masquerading as an unbiased expert.
