Dr. Fauci and Jen Psaki Tag-Team a Presser That Devolves Into a Mind-Bending Disaster – Opinion

Today, Dr. Anthony Fauci was unable to step out of the spotlight. Instead, he held a presser. It was unique because he tag-teamed it with Jen Psaki, White House propagandist. It was an embarrassing disaster that followed, with Trump-bleach references throughout, inability of policy makers to understand their decisions and good doctor knotting himself when asked about his partisan hypocrisy.

At one point, Psaki was asked about Biden’s now-infamous promise to “shut down” the coronavirus. The administration simply needs more time.

That’s not at all how Biden sold his pledge when he used it against Donald Trump during the 2020 election. Instead, Biden insisted that he was working on a way to end the pandemic quickly. Two major variations later, the pandemic is still spreading and there’s no sign of an end. Had Biden been honest about expectations from the start, that would be understandable, but he wasn’t, and he gained support by promising the impossible. He and his handlers now find it mad that they are being held to the same standard. Yes, it’s hard luck.

Psaki repeated another lie at another time, saying that Donald Trump had advised people to consume bleach to counter COVID-19. Of course, that’s not actually what Trump said, but expecting honesty out of this White House is like expecting my young son to keep his room clean. And what do the current failings of Trump and his predecessor have to with this?

Fauci was the true star of the show. When asked about the new travel restrictions put in place, the good doctor couldn’t even explain them.

Fauci was questioned about why he prohibited travel from Mozambique despite having had previous contact. zeroOmicron is not able to explain his cases. Instead, he responds by saying it’s a “good question.” But shouldn’t Fauci have the…answer to that question?

After all, it was Joe Biden who claimed that Fauci and his team were behind the new policy to ban travel from various African nations (see Joe Biden’s Answer on the New ‘Africa Ban’ Should Bring Comfort to No One). So to recap, Fauci can’t explain the logic behind the ban…he came up with?

Everything just fell apart from there. At another point, Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Fauci an obvious question: Why is Fauci not vehemently demanding the same testing regime at the Southern border that he’s demanding for American citizens?

Again, he had no good answer, snarking back at Doocy that it’s a “different issue.”

Doocy: “You advised the president about the possibility of new testing requirements for people coming in to this country, does that include everybody?”

Fauci: “The answer is yes.”

Doocy: “What about border crossers?”

Except it’s not a different issue at all. Why are we requesting those entering the country for testing? You’ve probably noticed by now, but while Fauci claims to be a non-political public servant who is just in his position to “save lives,” he always manages to toe the line for the Biden administration. Just a coincidence, I’m sure.

These people want to act like they are the adults in the room, but all they end up doing is insulting everyone’s intelligence. To make light of their failures, they will tell a lie about bleach. Unable to describe a policy TheyWhat was the point of putting it in place? This is amateur hour stuff, and it’s kind of scary that Fauci has managed to stay in his position this long. Truly, there hasn’t been a worse example of government incompetence. Jen Psaki, however, is Jen Psaki. Expect her to tell lies to you, and to lecture you. Water is also wet.
