Disney executive may consider writing Abigail Disney’s script.
Disney Corporation is embroiled in controversy. For reasons that make sense to only them, the power players in California felt that remaining silent about politics was not the course to take and instead decided to speak out about Florida’s recently passed parental rights law, creating discord in their customer base. Your audience was offended by your executive dumbs, smart play.
Disney believed they were in the position of power, lashing out at politicians and withdrawing their funding for candidates. But, I reminded Friday that the law is supported by the voters and has been supported by the Republicans of Florida. It seems that people believe the loud, agitated voices on social media drive the law rather than the distorted thinking of the minorities. Disney was forced to enter the political arena, and has been taking hits. Christopher Rufo added to the PR disaster by releasing video from internal meetings in which Disney execs were pushing for the exact agenda Florida law restricts.
Abigail Disney is now entering the fray, the daughter of the company’s founder, and has unleashed a flood of tweets to express her outrage that anyone would even question the Disney empire. As an activist, she is a producer and documentary filmmaker who supports the small guy. Only here, she is fighting on behalf of the global conglomerate bearing her family name, which opposes working-class families who have their children’s interests in mind and pledges to squash the little guy – literally.
Abigail, a multi-millionaire who claims to be a champion of the poor, is just one example. Her anger towards Rufo and Florida politicians is unbalanced. Amazing and funny is the transformation of someone who is not only dedicated to helping the poor, but is also a CEO. She promises to do everything in her power to make sure the people she insults are forgotten.
She starts by responding to Rufo’s charge that due to recent moves by the company, he is targeting Disney, but then quickly unravels, exposing all the well-known negatives of corporate power — and exposing her own ignorance in the process. It is amazing. You are about to embark on a journey of delusional privilege.

From the beginning, she unwinds. She is addressing one man’s charge, but then wages war against the entirety of the right-wing and conservative politics. Abby, there is no one coming for you. Disney CHOSE TO JOIN THIS CHASSE. Your company was not affected by the law. The law only keeps getting better.

Why would her company be involved if it was such absurdity? Florida’s bill was about content for school classrooms. It has nothing to do with business. As far as her statement of the law being “unsupported,” Ms. Disney here, as a documentarian, shows an inability to do basic research. It’s okay, Abby, I did some for you, as poll after poll has shown support for the law.
To rule over a minority, you need to have two things. You must always be on the lookout for fresh meat, so they are keeping them busy. It works till the herd gets thinned (remember Scar, in Lion King?) So now they’ve come for American Businesses. 3/

Um, “rule with a minority”?! Florida politics has been ignored by Ms. Disney. The state has been steadily turning redder over the years. Currently, there is only one seated Democrat in all of the statewide offices. She is talking about legislation that was passed through the will of the people. It doesn’t matter that she does not like the legislation, while sitting on her loveseat in a manse in another state. Her stunted political vision based on an animated fairytale is also irrelevant.
This was only an unforeseen outcome. The second thing that you must have to be able to govern with a minority is lots and lots of money. You need the very deep pockets to fund you, yes, and if they don’t, you need them to sit quietly along the sidelines, out of your way. 4/

As if someone was raised with trust funds. The electorate runs politics, and Ron DeSantis enjoys their support. Because Ms. Disney has a money-focus, I’ll just remind her that Ron is in a good place. To fight DeSantis in Florida, the Democrats have not sent any money. Abby might need to trim personal checks choked by zeros to support Charlie Crist and Nikki Fried.
Up to now, businesses have been happy doing exactly that. Or they compartmentalized like sociopaths when they funded folks like Dennis Baxley who wrote the hateful Don’t Say Gay bill because as the CEO claimed, he had no way of knowing he might vote for legislation like that. 5/

‘Poor Bob Chapek was completely blindsided’ is the sell job here. Except Bob did not have any comments to make during debates on the bill. Nothing. It was silent for the first months of its creation. Chapek didn’t start talking about it until the legislation passed it. The press became irritated and tried to push Disney into action. He fell for the hysteria.
The parties might be starting to part ways. We may see powerful lobbies in the industries wonder if they really care about their interests. Perhaps we will see lobbies lose faith in the devil’s partnership they 8/

Abigail shows that she is not a good grasper of both politics and business. Companies will not be interested in dealing with political parties that are growing in power, influence, and control. As the polls suggest, parents favor this law. She is choosing not to acknowledge the huge customer base. Disney’s double-header isn’t impressive.
They have depended on them to care for their subsidy, tax breaks and flouting law and regulation until now. The right-wing may finally have bitten those who fed it superfoods for the last several decades. 9/

There may be no better example of Abigail’s obliviousness than this entry. You can see the many ways that her company is getting benefits from the government. thenSome claim it’s the government feeding them! Honey, tax cuts are big for you company. If you believe politicians avoid taxes revenue, then you’ve never met one.
If they are to make it in the end, their best bet is authenticity, generosity and joy. This is cryptonite for right-wing ideology. This is why the solution to this problem is so simple. It also happens to be at the core of Disney’s brand. 11/

Do not bother asking the documentarian to show you evidence of this harm she claims is taking place – it is all assumed. Her call for “authenticity” is quaint, given she is railing about a law falsely dubbed the ‘Don’t Say Gay Bill,’ and all the complaints are rooted in lying about the law’s contents. In a recent letter, Chapek talked about supporting the rights and safety of Disney employees – regarding a law stipulating what is a proper lesson plan in kindergarten. This group of people is wildly exaggerated and not authentic.
These people will be standing for these values right now when they matter most. Although Rufo might be a good guy, Disney has a much larger impact on the American people and means far more than any punk could imagine. END//

This is about a law which has seen its advocates being called hateful, homophobic, gay-bashing and sexist. This thread has her labeling others radical ideologues minions and the herd. She also tosses in racism, misogyny, xenophobia and xenophobia. You will understand that Abigail does not like name calling.
Why don’t we analyze those principles and values you claim that your company espouses, Ms. Disney? It seems that an age-appropriate curriculum for children aged five to eight years old is an anti-social law, even though your company adheres to the same movie rating standards. You claim it is intolerance that a mother or father might be consulted on a first grader’s lesson plan, all while some of your own films are rated with Suggestions for Parental Guidance.
These are the bigger issues that surround business. How can your business do such a good job with the Chi-Com government that abuses human rights?

Take a look at those questions and consider how much bile was delivered to a state that is looking for appropriate lessons in schools. Florida is the target of hateful acts of ethnic cleansing by communists, which gives you an indication of the unbalanced anger. The heiress does not know what she is talking about, so her ignorance is clearly displayed. It is hard to believe that Mr. Chapek will be satisfied with her rant.
