Dave Chappelle’s Attacker Confirms What Everyone Already Knew About Why He Attacked – Opinion

I’d say “I called it” but it wasn’t exactly a mystery as to why Dave Chappelle was attacked while he was on stage.

As you’ll likely recall, in early May, a man ran on stage and attacked Chappelle with a knife inside a fake gun. Chappelle wasn’t hurt, although the attacker ran on stage and attacked Chappelle with a knife inside a fake gun. He left Chappelle bruised, bloodied and battered. His arm was also at an unusual angle.

It was not clear at the time why Chappelle attacked him, but everybody had an educated guess. Many speculated it had everything to do with Chappelle’s comedy specials upsetting the transgender community and that the man was either a trans activist himself or an “ally.” A few of the dumber people on the left blamed it on Trump, but I digress.

Sure enough, we now know the answer, and you’re going to want to sit down for this shocking bit of info.

As reported by the New York Post, it’s because the attacker, Isaiah Lee, is bisexual and Chappelle’s jokes “triggered” him. These are his words and not mine.

In an exclusive jailhouse interview, Isaiah Lee told The Post that Chappelle should be more “sensitive” when it comes to the jokes he cracks.

“I identify as bisexual … and I wanted him to know what he said was triggering,” Lee said Saturday at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles, dressed in brown jail garb and sporting a sling on his broken right arm.

“I wanted him to know that next time, he should consider first running his material by people it could affect.”

Ya don’t say?

Lee told the New York Post that he didn’t go to the special with the intent to harm anyone but the string of jokes he heard from various comedians on stage, plus Chappelle’s prior controversies just got to him and he decided to charge the comedian. He says he didn’t have the weapon he was carrying out when he attacked Chappelle, and only says he carries it around because he, himself, is a minor celebrity.

Lee also claims he’s not mentally ill, but his lawyer revealed that Lee is receiving mental health help.

This ride isn’t over yet.

Lee claimed that Chappelle backstage asked him why he had attacked him. Lee said he responded that his “mother and grandmother, who fought for his civil rights to be able to speak, would be upset at the things he said.”

“Now your story will die with you son,” Lee claims was Chappelle’s response.

Chappelle’s people didn’t return the request for a comment but it’s likely they don’t need to. As you can see by the man videos posted, the attacker didn’t really have much of a chance to speak to Chappelle, what with all those fists and feet in his face, so it’s likely not true. However, even if true it was still an attack on a comedian for some jokes. He is ridiculed for his moral superiority.

The truth is, he probably was stimulated by jokes. Humor and laughter are two things that make hard-leftists more angry than violence. They also equate humor with violence, since LGBT activists assert that people who don’t take LGBT issues seriously will only commit atrocious acts of violence against LGBT members.

We see a LGBT member becoming violent with someone who clearly has no issue with his LGBT community.

Chappelle’s attacker is deranged, and he’s using deranged reasoning to come to deranged solutions.
