It’s Episode Nineteen of MRC’s newest video series, With TR, CensorTrack We recapped some of the most serious Big Tech censorship cases in 2021 this week.
For starters, Donald Trump’s former presidency was blocked 625 times during his tenure and beyond. Trump’s Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other accounts were banned in 2021. Big Tech silenced Trump, but they still allow him to be a terrorist leader. IranTo engage online
Google banned advertisements for the abortion pill reversal drug — a drug intended to stop the effects of the abortion pill in hopes of saving the child in utero. Live Action, an advocacy group for life, stated that the ban was effective. $170,000worth of advertisements for the drug reversal that saved lives 2,500As of September, babies were born. Google didn’t stop there. Live Action President Lila Rose, founder and president of Live Action said that it too banned ads for Live Action’s “Baby Olivia” video, which detailed the timeline of a child’s life in utero. Maybe the video was just too scientific.
CensorTrack and the MRC Free Speech America recorded more than 470 COVID-19-related censorship cases in 2021. Big Tech took an interest in censoring COVID-19-related conversation. What To Expect’s pregnancy app is no longer allowing parents to discuss the COVID-19 vaccines. Expectant mothers now must express their concerns elsewhere even though the app claims to emphasize conversation … only conversations that fit the leftist narrative.
YouTube deleted the Family Research Council interview about the Minor Consent for Vaccinations Amendment Act of 2020. It allowed for children to be given COVID-19 vaccines with parental consent. YouTube classified the video as so-called “medical misinformation” when in reality, it was a conversation.
We saw that Big Tech was overstepping the mark in 2021. They oppose free speech and support only leftist ideas. Big Tech’s censorship is a clear, disappointing and frustrating indication of their bias.
