Celebrities Deliver Nasty, Uninformed Hot Takes on Roe Reversal – Opinion

It’s strange that so many “celebrities” think that just because they’ve been successful singing, acting, or posing in skimpy outfits for a living that their opinions are somehow important. Often their “hot takes” are downright nasty, usually uninformed, and in a word, stupid.

We knew they’d come out in full force if Roe were overturned, and now that it has been, they’re lining up to deliver their loathsome opinions. Samuel L Jackson is a credit card hawker who rushes quickly to make racist remarks.

“Uncle Clarence” is an obvious nod to Harriet Beecher Stowe’s celebrated 1852 novel, “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” which described a “saintly and dignified” slave named Uncle Tom who was famously compliant and even friendly to his oppressors. Today, calling someone an Uncle Tom is a clear racist insult, but it seems to be used solely by the “tolerant” left.

Think about what it would be like if Trump called somebody Uncle Tom. Imagine the world exploding.

Meanwhile, Billie Joe Armstrong, lead singer of the band Green Day–which was last popular in the Nineties–decided his hysterical opinion needed to be shouted out to the world. On Friday, at a concert held in London (U.K.), he lamented:

Attention: Below are some warnings about the use of coarse language

F**k America. I’m f***ing renouncing my citizenship…

There’s just too much f***ing stupid in the world to go back to that miserable f***ing excuse for a country.

Oh, I’m not kidding, you’re going to get a lot of me in the coming days.

Oh great, “you’re going to get a lot of me in the coming days.” Because what we really want this week is more of your ranting. Not wanting to be left out, Alec Baldwin’s daughter Ireland, mostly famous for posing nude, being threatened by her father, and getting tattoos, decided her voice was essential to the argument:

F*** this absolutely disgusting country,’ Ireland wrote on Insta Stories. ‘”Well move” Maybe I will. I’m ashamed to be an American.

Buh-bye; don’t let the door hit you on the way out. This was a startlingly intelligent argument she made while also naked in a tub with a glass of wine and presumably a tasty drink. We need just the right voice.

Billie Eilish, on the other hand, couldn’t think clearly during her U.K. live show.

I’m not surprised she’s too tired to think. Thinking doesn’t seem to be a strong point for many celebrities—emoting is clearly enough.

I think what’s frustrating to so many conservatives is how uninformed and frankly idiotic many of these opinions are. It’s not the racist language they use or the madness that is expressed in their statements and tweets. It’s that they simply have These are the facts wrong. The SCOTUS decision doesn’t outlaw abortion. It also does not eliminate rights that were originally enshrined by our Constitution. It just overturns the worst ever legal decision. Roe v WadeThis gives the state’s decision-making power back to its citizens, as our founding fathers wanted.

These are just a few of the many angry views, from Bette midler to John Legend, to all minor celebrities that have ever lived. But, it begs the question: Why should we pay attention to what these people think? The answer is, increasingly, we don’t.
