The Biden administration, desperate to hide the exploding crisis at the border, dumped the March crossing numbers late on Good Friday of Easter weekend. Unfortunately, the poor news was not covered by the dutiful drones who appeared on evening newscasts of the network.
Only nine minutes, four seconds were spent covering the border crisis in March. World News TonightThe NBC Nightly NewsThe CBS Evening News. (Most of the time, however, was dedicated to something Americans generally agree on: the plight Ukrainians fleeing conflict in Europe trying to get into the U.S. border.
Here’s how NBCNews.com reported the disastrous numbers late on Friday night of a holiday weekend:
According to government data, the number of migrants arriving at the U.S. border with Mexico rose in March to its highest point in over two decades.
In a Friday court filing, the Department of Homeland Security stated that 221,303 migrants were encountered along Mexico’s border border border. This is a record under the Biden administration.
However, the weekend of Easter will end on Saturday. CBS Weekend NewsThis story was not allowed to be covered because it was being censored. World News TonightIt took only 23 seconds. NBC Nightly News offered the most: two minutes and 23 seconds. Much of it was due to Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s decision to send migrants processed to Washington D.C.
NBC reporter Kelly O’Donnell on Saturday conceded, “The southern border attempted crossings reached a record 22-year high last March. Homeland Security detected more than 221,000 attempts to enter the country by non-citizens. Title 42 is a Trump-era rule that restricts COVID spread. It bars more than 123,000 migrants from entering the U.S. but it ends in May.”

Here’s the news about a significant increase in migrants who have been arriving at US borders with Mexico over recent weeks. The third highest number of migrants ever recorded by US Customs and Border Protection was 221,000 last month. That number will only increase when Title 42 is repealed by the US, which controversially expelled migrants from the US border because of pandemic worries.
The coverage was brief, with only nine minutes and forty seconds covering the border crisis. Here’s what I wrote about April 4, 2022.
The majority of the coverage (8 minutes and 15 seconds) consisted of stories that were understandably compassionate about Ukrainians who tried to cross into America from South Africa after fleeing conflict in Europe. The networks seemed to find this acceptable border coverage, given that the majority of Americans support the suffering of the Ukrainians. Title 42 was the reason for 49 of those remaining seconds.
The Monday Nightly News returned to the border crisis, warning of a “massive surge” of migrants with the lifting of Title 42. It would be like a surge over a surge.
The situation at the border is a full-on crisis and it’s about to get worse. This disaster will continue to be hidden by corrupt news broadcasts on the evening.
