As we previously reported, tornadoes caused havoc in many states, including Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee and Tennessee on Friday night. The commonwealth, however, suffered the most severe damage.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear declared an emergency in Kentucky on Friday. The National Guard was ordered to deploy to multiple counties to look for survivors and remove any debris from the Division of Forestry.
Beshear requested an emergency declaration by the White House. He told reporters that he had been informed the government was sending resources his way.

Biden spoke also with the Kentucky Governor. Andy Beshear earlier Saturday “to express his condolences for the lives lost and the devastation that Kentucky experienced.”
As part of federal relief efforts for the disaster, now the White House issued an emergency declaration for Kentucky, which allows recovery efforts to happen with FEMA’s assistance.
After speaking to the governors of Illinois, Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, and Tennessee, Biden made remarks, including about the personal impact of the ravaging storms.
