Joe Biden made it official on Wednesday, confirming reports that he was going to “forgive” tens of thousands of dollars of student debt for federal borrowers, many of which are the most privileged and well-off in our society. It is morally wrong for an electrician, who has paid for technical training, to have to pay $100K per year for the gender studies degree, according as I previously wrote.
Biden announced his intention and took a handful of questions. The few questions he answered were some of the least sensible of his presidency. However, we must mention that the president attempted to setup things in a way no one could understand.
Is he really talking about this?

If you watch the video, what you’ll see is a two-minute stream of consciousness where Biden never quite gets to the point, which is pretty standard for his public speaking these days. Shouldn’t it bother people that the person about to commit an illegal act as president is senile? Unfortunately, far too many people in the smart set, including in the journalistic world, are going to benefit from this gross abuse, so don’t expect to see much pushback outside of Fox News.
However, one ABC News reporter was not afraid to get her feet in the water. She asked about fairness for those who have paid off student loans but chose not borrow. It was difficult to understand what followed.
ABC’s @KarenTraversThe following:
Biden: “Is it fair to people who…do not own multibillion dollar businesses? These people see the reason these men get all the tax credits. Do you think that is fair? Do you agree? pic.twitter.com/R3WeeLkdI1

Why is this logic so important? What logic is there? Even then it doesn’t make sense as a tax credit is not required to be paid for. The government isn’t levying tax. When you “cancel” student debt, that money has already been paid out and the loan is now in default. This money must come from somewhere.
Biden moved on from his obvious senility and began to show his casual racism.
BIDEN: “Black and Hispanic borrowers…they don’t own their homes to borrow against to be able to pay for college.” pic.twitter.com/81HVi8CPMq

Wait, does the President of the United States think that black and Hispanic people don’t own homes? That’s really the line he’s going with? It does occur, but the percentage of college students borrowing from their home is not as high as traditional loans. It’s not like all white people out there have masses of equity ready to tap into to send their kids to college. This would not be the norm. But Biden just assumes minorities can’t own houses and uses that as justification. That remark from a Republican would get him thrown out. Biden will get shoulder shrugs.
Yet, out of all the stupid stuff, the president said in his presser, the one thing that stood out to me was one thing he didn’t say. The fact that the university system scams people is what needs to change.

Biden says that the problem of student debt can be attributed to everyone, except for the universities charging between $100 and 200K for an insignificant piece paper. This kind of fraud would make these institutions ineffective. Democrats, however, are so dependent upon academia as a political instrument that they refuse to critique it.
That means nothing is going to change. Within a few years, the “debt crisis” will be back at the same levels it is today. While universities increase tuition costs, they continue to spend vast sums on ineffective administrative roles and overpaid tenured faculty. Their endowments of hundreds of billions will continue to be unaffected, while Home Depot’s salesman gets the brunt of their misfeasance. It’s grotesque, and if Republicans can’t make this a winning issue, what is the point?
