The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has come a long way since it once primarily worked to prevent anti-Semitism — the defamation of the Jewish people, and other marginalized groups. The question is, in which direction has the ADL come — or Go, as it were to the “dark side” of the far-Left.
Here’s an example: ADL just published the Halloween Costume Resource Guide titled:
Halloween: The Day When Ghosts, Goblins and Stereotypes Make Their Comeout
Here’s how the guide kicks things off:
Halloween is another popular time of year. Sometimes, however, Halloween fun can be the exact opposite.
Parents sometimes cringe in anticipation of what their child’s costume will be. Teachers might be concerned about stereotypical costumes or playground taunts. The parties can lead to bias, conflict and controversy on campuses.
The holiday of Halloween should bring joy and excitement. Halloween can be more than just a holiday that brings candy and costumes. It also has the potential to bring creativity, learning and community building.
To ensure Halloween and all other holiday celebrations are positive, however, it is important to make sure they are inclusive and respectful.
Spoiler: The only thing “blowing in,” here is a crock of left-wing crap purposely designed to further confuse the hell out of America’s children.
Anti-Defamation League faces backlash for guide on avoiding ‘gender norms’ for Halloween costumes | Just The News https://t.co/ac5TzjFL1S

The handy guide bills itself as an instruction manual for educators who will “oversee children dressing up for the late-October holiday,” as reported by Just the News on Monday. Interestingly, though, it’s hard to believe that when my children were younger, My wife, and I oversaw such things, just as my parents had overseen those things for my brother and me, but I digress (to a “normal time,” long, long ago).
Then again, God forbid we “perpetuate gender norms.”

We’ll now look at the guide. In addition to an expected section (diatribe) on cultural stereotypes and so-called “appropriation” in costumes, the ADL’s “resource” guide emphasizes “children who may exist outside the gender binary,” noted Just the News, that the ADL suggests “could be exacerbated by costumes worn by children that cater to their specific sexes.”
One section in the guide is as follows (emphasis mine)
Many Halloween costumes perpetuate gender stereotypes and exclude those who don’t conform to traditional gender norms, especially those who are transgender, non-binary or gender non-conforming. You should be aware that your students may feel marginalized and excluded by Halloween’s overly gendered marketing.
“Overly gendered”? Hang on. So a little girl dressed up as “Elsa,” for example, could exacerbate some bad vibe for a child who exists outside of the gender binary? You got it. You know where it can go?
Watched Disney’s Frozen 2 for the first time and it looks musically and emotionally epic…!

It’s still a gender-related insanity.
Numerous children find themselves attracted to it. Traditional gendered clothingThink of girls who love princesses, or boys who are obsessive about heroes.
If that’s the case, These are not the best options.
Have conversations about young people gender stereotypesTalk about the marketing messages and advertising campaigns of companies.
When I was writing I realized that America is in serious trouble when Russia and China have been laughing at America’s CRT-focused military commanders and a significant portion of the population being irritated by little boys and girls wearing costumes for Halloween. But I have faith that my children will manage Halloween and all their costumes.
That is, perhaps, except for the kids who are told by their parents or teachers that they should be offended by girls with the insensitivity to dress up as Elsa or boys who rock Pokémon Charizard costumes.
