Andy Ngo Exposes Twitter Hoaxster After Spurious Claims About ‘Visit’ From Greg Abbott ‘Representative’ – Opinion

Unfortunately, after horrifying tragedies in this country, there are sick people who want to make themselves a part of the story in some way in hopes they can be showered with attention along with the victims’ families and, in some instances, bring down powerful figures who they don’t like in the process.

This tragic scenario was evident in the wake the horrendous mass shooting that took place Tuesday at Robb Elementary School (Uvalde), Texas. It claimed the lives 19 students and 2 teachers.

Andy Ngo, an independent journalist who exposed the fraudster, wrote a detailed Twitter thread detailing Jason Nauertz’s claims. Nauertz claimed that he was the uncle who was among the victims in the Uvalde shootings. In the same series of tweets, he stated that after he and other family members “were finally able to see my living nephews body to confirm identity” they were followed home by who he thought might be reporters.

He then wrote that a few minutes after they got home, “a representative for Gov Greg Abbott …informed us he’s willing to pay us to stand with the Gov and say we don’t need stronger gun laws.”

Nauretz said that the representative threatened to kill him if Nauretz talked about their conversations.

“He was asked to leave and said that if we speak about this conversation we will be facing charges and possibly worse,” Nauretz alleged. “We responded with f*ck you, try me and find out. Then, we were informed that many people disappear and get hurt all the time. F*ck Greg Abbott and this harassment while we all mourn.”

He also tweeted to thank people for their support and implied that he could provide video evidence.

“Thank you to everyone that reached out with condolences and ideas for help. We’ve been out in contact with actual help. My sister’s home security system uploads to an online storage. I will not have to defend my post or it’s validity shortly. Again thank you,” he wrote.

Ngo dropped the receipts on Nauertz after finding out about the thread he wrote, which went viral and which was also – unsurprisingly – amplified by reporters seeking more information and blue check leftists who rushed to comfort him and offer help, many of who accepted the man’s words at face value without bothering to question or verify any of the information:

Ngo pointed out a few other false claims made by the man, such as how he claimed to be a 9/11 first responseer, prisoner of war and Purple Heart recipient and that he had served multiple tours in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Ngo went on to detail some Twitter accounts which jumped on this story.

Ngo also noted that Nauertz falsely claimed he was a black male:

More screengrabs can be found in the thread about the gullible replies to Nauertz by The Usual Suspects. Some of these people have since deleted their twitters, including the detestableOlbermann) which you can see in detail here.

At 2:05 p.m. Eastern Time, Friday’s account was still up and activeAccording to Ngo Nauertz, he pulled off a Joy Reid and declared that his account on Twitter was compromised. Nauertz then deleted Ngo’s posts and locked his account or disabled it.

However, you can still access the site at any time as this writing click the link to his page, you get this message: “This account doesn’t exist.” So he’s apparently deleted his account after being called out by Ngo.

This group of people is not only depraved but also needs professional help. Nauertz should seek the assistance he requires, rather than reactivating it. Twitter should suspend his account immediately if he decides to activate it again. It’s never a good time to deliberately post false information about who you are and what you’ve been through – and that is never more true than in the aftermath of a mass shooting tragedy when family members are desperately seeking answers.
