In an exclusive published Saturday morning, Fox News Digital reports that former President Donald Trump is asking, “Where do I get my reputation back?” in the wake of Friday’s startling revelation in the Michael Sussmann trial. Hillary Clinton was implicated in the propagation of the Alfa Bank Russia Collusion lie during that testimony.
Trump told the outlet:
It is one of history’s greatest political scandals. For three years, I had to fight her off, and fight those crooked people off, and you’ll never get your reputation fully back.
How can I get my reputation back

Trump continues, adding that all the resources used to investigate him in the phony Russia Collusion scandal could have better been used elsewhere, like protecting us from what “could have been a real danger with Russia.”
Then he takes aim at people whose failures to stop something like this happening. “And if we had real leadership, instead of people like Mitch McConnell, they would do something about it. Bill Barr, for example. They would have done something about it,” he says.
RedState has extensively reported on the Durham investigation. Here is the short backstory. Sussmann faces criminal charges. Robby Mook, a former campaign manager, was directly linked to Hillary Clinton for pushing the fake Alfa Bank story. This false tale claimed that there had been collusion between Trump’s bank and Russia. This followed Thursday’s testimony in which former FBI General Counsel James Baker testified that the bureau investigated the bank story and found that “there was nothing there.”
As we reported earlier on Saturday, George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley weighed in by saying Hillary Clinton was “Voldemort-like” and probably won’t face “direct responsibility” in the Durham probe.
Durham was appointed in 2019 to investigate the origins of the FBI’s original investigation into the Trump campaign, known as Crossfire Hurricane. Crossfire Hurricane led to the Mueller probe, a two-year, $32 million waste of everyone’s time.
A lot of probing has happened, and still almost nobody’s suffered any consequences.
Trump has a question to ask: Where does Trump get his reputation back. It is also a question I have for taxpayers: where can we get our money back, both our two-years back and our faith in the government, media, and government? So many people in “authority” failed us, from corrupt former FBI chief James Comey, to conspiring former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, to the once-respected Robert Mueller, to the New York TimesAnd Washington Post–two papers with storied histories that utterly fell asleep at the wheel.
The Russia Collusion lie remains a deep and embarrassing stain on our country, and one can only hope that Durham’s prosecution of an obscure lawyer in the scheme might lead to the real culprits paying a price.
Trump won’t get an apology form the individuals mentioned above. And as for Trump’s reputation, it will never be fully restored. Hopefully, he can get some satisfaction in knowing that he was right all along–and they were wrong.
