The Department of Homeland Security will be open Friday A report was releasedThrough Customs and Border Patrol, (CBP), that cleared agents falsely accused of using horse reins to whip illegal immigrants from Haiti who tried crossing into the U.S.A. and also proposed punishments for those using “poor judgement” And “vulgar” language.
Despite the fact that the first part disproved the claim by liberal media to whip illegals, both the evening and flagship newscasts of ABC and NBC stayed clear and are yet to issue a second.
CBS Mornings And CBS Saturday MorningIt was also not mentioned, leaving the CBS Evening NewsThe newscast was the only one to report the results for just 21 seconds, not including a nine second tease. The newscast was however biased, and didn’t exonerate them.
“Well, still ahead on tonight’s CBS Evening News, the possible discipline for Border Patrol agents following last year’s wild confrontation on the Rio Grande,” Jericka Duncan, fill-in anchor in tease
Duncan returned to work after a short break and ignored whipping stories. Instead, he boasted about how he was able to do so. “four Border Patrol agents are facing potential disciplinary action following an incident on the Texas border last year.”
Duncan framed it as a damning account and added, “The…” “investigation concluded the agents right there used unnecessary force while blocking migrants trying to cross into Del Rio, Texas” While also possessing “threatened the migrants and tried to force them into the river.”
The six newscasts all enthusiastically promoted this absurd tale from the start. Scott Whitlock was the one who said so. chronicledIn April, ABC spent seven minutes and nine seconds trashing agents while CBS shows lasted three minutes and twelve seconds. NBC’s shows were third with three minutes and four seconds spewing this lie.

MELUGIN: CBP Commissioner Chris Magnus today announced that the agency has found no evidence to support the false narrative that Haitian migrants were whipped by Border Patrol Agents on horseback in Del Rio last year.
CBP COMMISSIONER CHRIS MAGNUS – OPR did not find any evidence that Patrol Agents were involved in the incident. They struck anyone with their hands, intentionally or not.
MELUGIN: CBP claims they have sent four discipline suggestions to the horseback agents despite their being cleared of any criminal wrongdoing. MAGNUS: They have my highest confidence and there has never been an outside interference.

The first charge is for “poor judgment” for instructing noncitizens “to go back to Mexico, or words to that effect,” while the second is for “unsafe conduct” for maneuvering the agent’s horse “in a way that caused a noncitizen to fall backward into the Rio Grande River … thereby compromising the safety of the noncitizen, yourself, and your horse.”
(….)
“You knew or should have known that using your horse to block a noncitizen from exiting the water at the boat ramp created an unsafe situation, particularly for the noncitizen, but also for you and your horse,” the charges read.
“We consider that your misconduct received significant media attention and had a negative impact on the reputation of the Agency,” the charges added.
Instead of covering the report, ABC’s World News Tonight touted on Friday viral video of a small plane making an emergency landing on a North Carolina highway while NBC’sToday had a full segment Saturday touting what a chyron dubbed, “the healing power of cow hugging.”
