500 Iranian Women Permitted To Attend Soccer Game

When feminists claim that they have it rough in the States, they clearly don’t have a solid understanding of how the rest of the world treats women.

In an unusual move, 500 women were permitted to go to a match between Mes-e Kerman and Esteghlal FC in Iran. The Tehran Azadi stadium seats over 100,000 and gave these women a section.

Since 1979, Iran’s women have been barred from participating in sporting events. The ban was largely based on the idea that girls shouldn’t see men wearing immodest clothing like shorts and T-shirts, or be exposed to obscenity.

Female athletes are subject to even stricter rules. Breitbart published in 2018 that female competitors must get permission from their husbands or fathers before they can travel to compete.

“As a Muslim woman, I wanted to work for my country’s flag to be raised [at the games], rather than traveling for leisure and fun,” Niloufar Ardalan, then the captain for Iran’s women’s national team, said.

This is how true inequality and oppression looks. Women can achieve anything they want in America. It is considered special in Iran, however, if half of the soccer field is dedicated for women.

Feminists must count their blessings.
