On Saturday, 4Chan users announced that they had managed to crack a backup of Hunter Biden’s iPhone. The users also gained access to the iPad Hunter Biden shared with another person in his family.
There were a lot of things to wade through — from sex and drugs, with Hunter Biden allegedly examining his perineum, to a ton of arguments with Hallie Biden, his dead brother’s wife with whom he was having a relationship at one point.
There are some things that we have reported on before that are now getting a wider airing after the 4Chan drop, such as a conversation with his cousin Caroline Biden, where she’s talking about setting him up with women and he says “no yellow” (seemingly meaning no Asian women). That’s not only offensive but more than a little ironic given the money he’s made from Chinese connections.
Here are some highlights from the first round of releases that might be related to Joe Biden, or other foreign interactions. We will likely have more, but here are some of the highlights that we’ve seen so far.
Hunter was able to send a large amount of money to his family. He may have made a lot, but most of the money he sent out was going to his family and for various reasons. We previously reported that Joe Biden sent him money at different times to help him. Here’s a voicemail that appears to be one example of that.

Hunter says:
[V]ery alone in dealing with rebuilding an income that can support the enormous alimony and my kids costs and myself, dealing with the aftermath of the abduction and likely assassination (that’s what the NYT’s suspects) of my business partner the richest man in the world and the arrest and conviction of my client the chief of intelligence of the people’s republic of China by the US government, the retaliation of the Chinese in the ouster and arrest of US suspected CIA operatives inside China, my suspected involvement in brokering a deal with Vladimir Putin directly for the largest sale of oil gas assets inside Russia to China, a tax bill that Eric left hanging over my business and…And Dads running for president.
Let’s now look at some examples.
The “abduction and assassination” of his business partner appears to apply to CEFC chair Ye Jianming. Citing an NBC Report:
Biden’s most lucrative business relationship was acting as a consultant in a project with a company that belongs to a once-powerful Chinese businessman who is now thought to be detained in his homeland.
The Senate report reveals that Hudson West III was a venture funded in part by China’s oil and gas company CEFC. It paid $4,790 375.25 to Owasco P.C. Over the course of about one year.
Owasco P.C. has been revealed in filings made with Washington, D.C. Hunter Biden is the controlling party. [….]
In 2018, Chinese prosecutors accused Ye Jianming of “economic crimes,” including alleged fraud and bribery, and detained him for questioning. He hasn’t been seen in public since.
Then the “chief of intelligence” is the guy Hunter Biden previously referred to as “spy chief of China” — that’s Patrick Ho, who we have reported on before, who was sentenced to three years in prison for international bribery and money laundering offenses in March, 2019. Biden was paid $1 million to represent Ho, but it’s not clear what legal work, if any, he performed for him.
If true, the part that concerns Putin raises additional questions. We’ve written a lot about his involvement with China and specifically his involvement in BHR, a Chinese private equity firm. Here’s what the Free Beacon reported in March, 2022 about Biden’s relationship with Chinese government-connected energy companies and Gazprom, the energy giant which is majority-owned by the Russian government.
Bloomberg Tuesday reported that Sinopec (China National Petroleum Corporation) and China National Petroleum Corporation have been in negotiations with Beijing for investment in Russian gas giant Gazprom. Biden has done business with both Chinese firms, which hope to take advantage of deep discounts in the company’s shares in order to shore up their energy and commodity stockpiles. [….]
The connections highlight longstanding concerns that Biden’s foreign entanglements help America’s adversaries. The Washington Free Beacon reported that Biden had met with an executive of China National Petroleum Corporation in 2011 to discuss the possibility of buying an African oil field. Biden met Ge Aiji with China National Petroleum Corporation executive to discuss the possibility of purchasing an oil field in Africa. He was informed that his company has helped Iran and Sudan evade U.S sanctions.
Biden, who cofounded BHR Partners in 2013, is connected with Sinopec by way of BHR Partners. BHR acquired a $1.7 billion stake of Sinopec Marketing from the company in 2015. Biden owned at one time a 10% stake in BHR Partners via his LLC, Skaneateles LLC.
Hunter Biden claims that his lawyer no longer holds a stake at BHR.
Then Joe Biden just sold almost a million barrels from our Strategic Petroleum Reserve to Chinese government-controlled Sinopec, raising additional questions about why he’s depleting our stores, not using it here, and why it’s going to help a hostile country to build up their reserves.
Then there’s a voice mail from Francis Person to Hunter about China business — “right there in Tiananmen square for our beijing site.”
Francis Person, a Biden aide, worked closely with Joe Biden during his time as vice president.
One of Joe Biden’s closest aides as vice president, who later joined a Washington-based firm founded by an executive with ties to China’s Communist Party and did deals with Biden’s son Hunter — visited the White House at least seven times over a two-year period.
Francis Person — better known as “Franny” to the Biden family, whom Jill Biden has said is “like a son” to her and Joe — visited the White House multiple times in 2015 and 2016, including a holiday reception in December 2015 with Chinese executive Bo Zhang, official logs viewed by The Post show.
Person, who left his role as then-Vice President Biden’s personal aide in 2014, went on to work with Hunter Biden and his business partner Eric Schwerin in deals with the Harves Group and later became president of the Washington-based firm.
But sure, Joe Biden knew nothing about his son’s business dealings, right?
Memo to Republicans: This all needs to be investigated — thoroughly.
