It’s been said innumerable times throughout Joe Biden’s 49 years in Washington, D.C. This is what sensible Americans are saying as we speak. This will be repeated over and again for the next 24,854 hour, in particular, while I am writing:
Joe Biden is weak. He’s indecisive. He lacks fortitude. He’s also out of control.
Biden embellishes rather than confronting challenges with conviction and internal strength, or God forbid the confidence and skill of an actual executive. He lies. He plagiarizes. He rewrites.
Joe Biden can be described as the Barnie Feife of American Politics. The kind-hearted and loveable parts are gone.
It would be one thing if Biden were simply “all of the above” as a citizen of Scranton, PA, or even a bloviating, back-bencher in the U.S. Senate. But as president of the United States — AKA: Leader of the Free World — “all of the above” are scary as hell.

The American civilians in Afghanistan and Americans trapped by the terrorist group were not able to comment.
On the presidential campaign trail in 2019, Biden foolishly declared China was “not competition” for the U.S., prompting blowback from prominent members of both political parties.
China wants to have our lunch. You’re a man. I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. You know what, they’re not competition for us. They’re not competition for us.
Biden stated the following a month later on the campaign trail.
We’re in a position where we have the most agile venture capitalists in the world [huh?]. They know — it’s not like they’re bad guys — our workers are three times [more] productive. We should be worried about the following:
Following Biden’s first address to the United Nations General Assembly in September, Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton observed:
Joe Biden not only says that we’re not in a cold war, and he’ll fight to win it, he literally would not use the name China. He was like a scared child from a ‘Harry Potter’ novel who wouldn’t say Voldemort’s name because he was afraid of what might happen.
Stephen Miller, an ex-senior advisor of former President Donald Trump tweeted similar thoughts.
It is impossible to understate the gravity of this error. A draft of the UN speech would have been reviewed by senior officials across the WH & government. Either none of them thought Biden should even *mention* China at the UN, or they were overruled. This is simply unimaginable.
Is it partisan politics by Cotton or Miller? No. Reality — particularly given Biden’s past downplay or dismissal of the ChiCom threat.

And what of COVID-19, Wuhan, and China’s lies?
As Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel observed, following Biden’s UN address, ZERO:

Jen Psaki replied like her usual response to difficult need-to be-asked questions when Biden didn’t mention China name in his speech. jargon:
It was, I believe, indicative of [Biden’s]Our goal is to create a proactive agenda for the major issues we can all work together, including China.
Oh, please. The guy forgot the names of his own cabinet ministers. Repeatedly.
During Biden’s critical two-hour phone call on Friday (incisively analyzed by my colleague Dennis Santiago), he warned Xi of “consequences” if Beijing provides “material support” to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the White House .
Psaki gave the one-size-fits all Team Biden toolbox for foreign policy when Psaki refused to give details.
Sanctions can be a useful tool.
According to China’s Foreign Ministry account of the call, Xi said, in “response” to the threat of sanctions:
The people would be hurt if there were more sweeping and discriminatory sanctions. These sanctions could lead to serious crises in the global economy, trade, finance, food and industrial supply chains. This would cause irreparable damage and cripple an already struggling world economy.
“Only make the people suffer.” China doesn’t Give a damnIt is about making people suffer. There are many human rights violations that have been committed against the Uyghur people in their history. Genocide committed against Uyghur minorities. Hong Kong’s democracy is being destroyed. On the contrary, the Communists in Beijing care about one thing and one thing alone: the advancement of its own agenda — within China and around the world. This is the most important thing. You can’t do anything else to get in the way.
Ironically, the unnamed Senior Biden Official who briefed journalists on the call shared more truth than he knew.
The president really wasn’t making specific requests of China. I believe that China will decide for itself.

Finally, during a virtual summit meeting in November 2021, Xi said of Biden “I’m very happy to see my old friend,” through a translator at the start of the meeting. Biden smiled and returned some pleasantries. Some of these were diplomatic absurdities. What then?
Biden’s band continued to play.
