Recent poll results revealed that San Francisco is the least woken city in America. It has become weary of the wakery infusing its law enforcement with woke prosecutors who care more about protecting civilians than adhering the principles of wokeism. According to the survey, a majority San Francisco residents plan to vote for Chesa Boudin to be recalled as district attorney. She prefers to protect criminals to law-abiding citizens.
EMC Research’s poll shows that around 68 percent would vote for Boudin to be ousted. This is a staggering 64 percent increase in registered Democrats. Even worse, almost three-fourths of respondents had an unfavorable opinion of the DA and 61 percent believe he is “responsible for rising crime rates in San Francisco, especially burglaries and thefts.”
Boudin’s refusal to penalize criminals has been heavily criticized. He declared he would not prosecute cases involving “quality-of-life crimes” like “public camping, offering or soliciting sex, public urination [or] blocking a sidewalk,” according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Data from the San Francisco Police Department shows that crime rates have increased under Boudin. Burglaries increased to nearly 7,000 by 2021 while motor vehicle thefts rose from about 6,000 to 8,000.
In the city, smash and grab has become a common practice. Individuals are able to take hundreds of thousands of dollars in merchandise and cause great damage. This has led Walgreens stores to be closed in multiple locations across the city. It can be no wonder that the poll also revealed that 73 percent of residents did not agree that Boudin was “keeping San Francisco safe” and that 69 percent did not believe he “does what is best for the community.”
It is now the second time that the DA has been recalled. Boudin failed to be evicted by the previous attempt. This one appears to be more likely to succeed, as San Franciscans are still suffering the effects of his actions. The truth is that even those who are most awake want security. These folks don’t want to worry about thugs burglarizing their homes, stealing their cars, and looting their businesses.

Not only is this not the case, but many San Franciscans reject wokeism as well. Last month, they voted to remove three members of the city’s school board for prioritizing wokeism over the concerns of parents and their children. They focused more on renaming schools that were named after “problematic” historical figures instead of trying to get kids back in class amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
This does not necessarily mean that there has been a conservative revival in the area. This does indicate that even though people may subscribe to this ideology, there are limits to how much wokeism they will accept. But, as I am fond of saying, the hard left just can’t help itself, so it is unlikely they will learn a lesson from this.
