My amazement at how progressives insist that concepts related to Critical Race Theory aren’t being taught in schools for K-12, while many school districts have openly stated they use these ideas within their educational institutions. They seem to think they can convince us to trust their lies by making the subject open and honest. Two consulting companies have been hired by a Wisconsin school district to teach teachers how CRT can be implemented in classrooms.
Parents Defending Education reported that Milwaukee Public Schools partnered with Pacific Educational Group in order to obtain $292,000.750 during the school year 2021-2022. The following is a report
Per the “Description of Services and the Specifications” in the contract, one session titled “Virtual Leads 2” centers on “Using Critical Race Theory to Transform Leadership and The Organization.” The document explains that the seminar “further examines the impact of race in schooling and introduces Critical Race Theory (CRT) – its importance, relevance, and application as an analytical tool for understanding race and the educational disparities resulting from systemic racism. CRT is established as a theoretical and requisite knowledge base in ‘Framework’ for systemic equity transformation.”
The third seminar instructs district staff to “review leaders’ understanding of critical race theory and begin a process of applying it a as a tool for analyzing personal, professional, and organizational manifestations of systemic racism in their lives.”
The programming has a section in which participants would develop “proficiency with the PEG Framework (Courageous Conversation Protocol, critical race theory tenets, systems thinking tools, and adaptive leadership principles) in all aspects of executive cabinet leadership functions.”
In October 2013, the district signed a contract with Second Step (a program for social-emotional learning). For $663 241.50, it entered into a five year contract with Committee For Children. This is the agency that manages Second Step. This amount includes funds for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief, or ESSER. The district has used COVID relief money in this program.
According to Second Step’s website, it is designed to help schools impose SEL “in a way that builds on students’ cultural assets, critically examines systems of power, and develops better ways of teaching, learning, and being.”
The “critically” examining “systems of power” is vintage CRT. It’s the core of theory.
These are just a few examples of districts using CRT ideas in classrooms. In this case, the focus is on getting teachers on board with the theory’s concepts so they can better implement them in their classrooms. For this purpose, there are many trainings and programs. The teachers must be indoctrinated as well if they want to indoctrinate their students.
There will be consequences if more parents learn about what’s happening at public schools. There is a reason why attendance in government-run schools has plummeted over the past couple years – and it’s not just COVID. Both private and homeschooling enrollments have increased significantly. The trend will continue as long as schools are more interested in creating activist leaders than they are in educating their children.
